The dresses the girls wearing are made of the tie-dyed silk thread at their hands, Xinjiang

In ancient times, Hetian was the traffic hinge of the old Silk Road and was renowned as one of the three silk cities of Xinjiang. Between 200 BC and 100 BC, the silk trade here was very prosperous. The highly prosperous period is from the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD) to the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD). Silk was transported from here to Middle Asia, Middle East and Mediterranean countries.

Winter is cold here and everything is covered by snow. Not a good time to be there in Winter. Summer and autumn are the best time.

Yes, I know that. You mean Hetian in Chinese Pinyin, a place well known for its jade, right?! It can also written as Hotan. Hope this help.
