1. For children under 120cm, free of charge for the main entrance.
2. Juniors under 18 years old, seniors over 60 years could buy discount tickets onsite.

1. Peak forest cableway on the mountaintop: CNY25 for single-way
2. The lower escalator to Tianmen cave: CNY32 for single-way
3. Shoe covers for glass skywalk: CNY5 per pair.

How to Book and Use

1. Book & pay online, get confirmation number by email. Show all the travelers’ passports at the ticket office to redeem paper tickets.
2. The site sets limitation of the number of visitors for each hour, all the visitors will be allotted to one specific entrance hour, the entrance time will be sent to you within 5 days before the visiting date. Please check-in during the designated time duration.
3. Travelers in one order should enter the site together.
4. Tickets are only valid for the selected travel date.

Cancellation and Refund

1. No free cancellation.
2. CNY40 will be charged for cancellations made 48 hours before the intended visiting time.
3. CNY120 will be charged for cancellations made 24 hours before the intended visiting time.
4. No refund for cancellations made within 24 hours before the intended visiting time.
5. Service fee is non-refundable.
6. If you would like to make change, please cancel and rebook.

What to Expect

Zhangjiajie is a place worth going in China, and Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park is a must to visit in Zhangjiajie. It is a unique karst landform mountain like a beautiful sky garden, and has been always honored as “The Soul of Zhangjiajie”. Only 8 km (5 miles) from the downtown, it is a convenient and unmissable spot. Hurry up to book the tickets!

Tianmen Mountain is named after the rare natural wonder of Tianmen Cave, which is a big hole on the high mountain, looking like the entrance to Heaven with clouds and mist round. Book the ticket, you can enjoy the misty miracle.

How to reach the Tianmen Cave? There is the Heaven-linking Avenue for you. It is the only way to Tianmen Cave with 999 steps. You can experience the hiking that makes you feel walking from the earth to the mysterious fairyland.

Taking Tianmen Mountain Cableway will also be an amazing experience. It is extremely long with a total length of 7,454 meters (8,152 yards) and a drop of 1,277 meters (4,190 feet), and the one-way running time is about 30 minutes. The slope of the cableway reaches 37 degrees. You will feel like flying in air.

Glass Skywalk on the cliff is a breath-taking way in Tianmen Mountain. On fine days, there are reflections of sun, clouds and trees on the Glass Skywalk, you can also look down the cliff clearly. On misty days, you will feel like walking in the air as the Glass Skywalk is partly hidden and partly visible. Anyway, it would be incredible.

How to get to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park?

Take the city bus 1, 4, 10a, 102, 4-Inner Ring, 10-Inner Ring, 10-Outer Ring and get off at Tianmen Mountain Cableway Stop.
Take the city bus 9 to Guanliping Roundabout Stop.
Take the city bus 6, 8 to Gezihua International Hotel Stop.

Guanliping Roundabout and Gezihua International Hotel are extremely near the Tianmen Mountain Cableway lower-station. Getting off the bus, you can take the cable car or the shuttle bus to Tianmen Mountain.

Booking a ticket for Tianmen mountain cable car etc

Can I book a ticket with a passport in advance for 27th of April ? I see people commenting that without a chinese ID card its not possible, and the website won't let me. What is the other alternative for a ticket to avoid not finding one ?

You can book though the WeChat mini program "张家界一机游" with your passport or buy a same-day ticket at the ticket office on site.

You can buy at Tianmenshan Tourist Center, on the opposite of Wuling Natural Specialties Tourism Shopping Mall, with your passport.

I am planning to go to Tianmenshan on November 10, when are you planning to reopen ticket reservations?
And do I need a Chinese ID for book tickets? (I only have a Japanese passport)

The online ticket booking is not available right now and you may need to buy tickets at the spot.

At present, still only Chinese ID cards are available for prior booking and you can only buy ticket at the spot.
