 Information on Cruise Ships

To hire a cruise ship is a good choice to visit the lake in Summer Palace. There are different kinds of cruise ships varying in size, startups, and close time. Generally speaking, all the cruise ships open at 08:00 and close mostly at 17:00 except the ones lying alongside Paiyun Palace close at 16:00, and all the ships will be closed in stormy weather. There are mainly five kinds of cruise ships in the garden.

Pedal Boat: ports at the south of Zhichun Pavilion and Paiyun Gate; can holdfour persons; deposit CNY 200 and CNY 20 per hour, and return the boats to thestarting port to get the deposit.

Manual Boat: ports at the eastern end of Seventeen-Arch Bridge (Shiqikong Qiao)and the south of Bajiao Pavilion; holds within four persons; return the boatsto the starting ports to get the deposit.

Battery Boat: ports at the south of Zhichun Pavilion; holds within four persons;deposit CNY 200 and CNY 30 per hour, to return the boats to the starting portto get the deposit.

Medium-Sized Pleasure Boat, Dragon Boat: port near Nanhu Island, Yulan Hall,Marble Boat and Bronze Ox, can hold dozens of people, the tickets are about CNY5 or 6.

Taihe Large Ancient Pleasure Boat: the satisfactory boat to hold wine party,banquet on water and gatherings, divided into the upper and lower decks whichcan hold 50 to 400 people.

          

 Other Notice

1. Every visitor has the responsibility to protect this precious worldcultural relic. Please don't swim, fish, skate, and litter about.

2. Don't go over the walls, fences and railings. Don't make campfires, barbecue,dig plants and catch animals.

3. The area north of Wenchang Pavilion and east of Jiehu Bridge is the firstdegree fire prevention district. Please don't smoke in this area.

4. Any vehicle except wheelchair, handcart and others for the aged, the handicappedand children use cannot enter the park without permission.

5. The professional camera equipment without permission by the management cannotbe used in the park.

6. Any organized performance is forbidden without the management's permission.
