Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
When your international flight arrives at Kathmandu Airport, our guide will welcome you at the exit and transfer you to check in at the hotel. After a short refreshment at the hotel, your Kathmandu Chitwan tour starts in the afternoon. We will first show you the Pashupatinath Temple. Here you are able to take pictures with Indian Hindu Sadhus and see the cremation ceremony. We would like to remind you that only Hindus are allowed inside the temple, so visitors can only visit it outside. Then we move to Bhadgaon, the birthplace of medieval architecture and art of Nepal, which is located 14 kilometers away from Kathmandu. Here you will visit the Bhadgaon Durbar Square, the ancient Gateway, the Pottery Square and the Dattatreya Temple.
Day 2 Kathmandu
Morning excursion will take you to the Chandragiri Hill, which is up to around 2551 meters above the sea level. You will take cable car to the hill top and have a wonderful bird's eye view of the Kathmandu city, the surrounding mountains and the Himalayas. After that, we will guide you to explore the Patan Durbar Square including the renowned Golden Temple. Next, you will go to visit the Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the biggest stupas in the world. Occupying an area of 932 square kilometers, the park has more than 50 mammals including deer, rhinoceroses, wild boar, Bengal tigers, wild elephant and 525 kinds of birds, such as kingfishers, hawk, hornbill etc. It is a good chance to see tigers and other rare animals in February and March.
