Important Notice

Ticket Price:

1.Entrance tickets are free for children under 18 years old and seniors over 60 years old. Please present your passport or ID at the comprehensive service window to obtain a free paper ticket first.
2.For seniors over 60 years old, as well as children between 120 cm in height and under 17 years of age, the cable car fare is the same as the adult price.
3.Kids under 120cm in height are eligible for free admission tickets and cable car rides. There is no need to exchange free tickets for them.
4.For Night Tour of Great Wall, free of charge for children lower than 120cm.

Reservation:

1.The tickets are released 10 days in advance, we will book the tickets for you as soon as they are available.
2.Your valid Passport/ID information is required for booking, one person could only book one ticket per day.
3.Pulley doesn't operate during Low Season (Nov 1 to Mar 31)

Ticket Redemption:

1.Passport/ID card is required for ticketing and entry.
2.Travelers in one order should collect paper tickets and enter the site together.
3.For admission ticket, please redeem the paper ticket with the Passport/ID at the comprehensive service window (综合服务窗口), which is located at the entrance. If one of your party can enjoy free ticket, you still need to get paper tickets at the at the comprehensive service window.
4.For admission ticket with cable car, only QR Codes are required on site which we will email you in advance.

Night Visiting: 18:30-21:00; Operating hours of the Ground Cable Car: Until 19:30

About Night Ticket

1.Open area for night visit: North 4th floor to South 4th floor.
2.The outdoor performance-Dreaming Back to the Great Wall, may be influenced by the weather, there is no refund if no performance.
3.The cable car is available from 17:30 to 19:30.
4.There is no refund if you only take a single way bus.

About DarlingBus

Bus 1: Depart at 16:00 from the entrance of Lao She Teahouse in Qianmen, Beijing; Return at 20:40 from Badaling Great Wall parking lot, this bus is expected to arrive at and terminate at Beitucheng Subway Station and Xuanwumen Subway Station at around 22:30.
Bus 2: Depart at 17:00 from Exit B, Beitucheng Subway station, Beijing; Return at 21:30, ends at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube at about 22:30.
The return time and the arrival station are subject to change according to the actual circumstances on that day.

Change & Cancellation:

1.Free Change & Cancellation if sending the request by email 24 hours before the designated entry date.
2.After ticket is issued, service fee is non-refundable.

How to get to Badaling Great Wall from downtown Beijing

Option 1: Bus 877: Deshengmen ⇔ Badaling
It departs from Deshengmen, about 10 minutes' walk from Jishuitan subway station (Exit B2) of subway line 2. It is a non-stop bus, taking about an hour and costing CNY 12. The drop-off site is close to the pulley car lower station and about 10 minutes' walk to the entrance.

Option 2: Tourist Bus Line 1: Qianmen ⇔ Badaling
Boarding Point: southwest of Qianmen Arrow Tower, to the south of Tiananmen Square
Hours at Qianmen: about 7:00 to 11:00
Destination: Badaling Guntiangou Parking Lot

Option 3: By Train:
High Speed Train: Take a high speed train from Beijing North Railway Station to the Badaling Great Wall Railway Station near the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area. It takes only 30 minutes for a single-way trip.

S2 Train: The trains depart from Huangtudian Railway Station, which is near the Huoying Station along subway line 8 and subway line 13. One should get off at Badaling Railway Station; the entrance to the scenic area is a 15 to 20 minutes' walk. Just follow the passenger flow or direction boards and one will get there easily. A single rail ride takes about 1.5 hours and the fare is CNY 7. There are free shuttle buses between S2 train station and cable car station. If you don't want to walk, you can queue up to take it.

How far in advance can I book a Badaling Great Wall Ticket?

Though the ticket is issued only 7 days in advance, you can book as early as possible from us to guarantee a smooth trip, especially in case that you visit during public holidays.

Can I still buy a ticket at the scenic area upon arrival?

No. Currently all tickets are sold online and the ticketing system is in Chinese, so you have to book one from travel agencies in advance.
