It is pretty convenient to commute in the city by taxi. People are allowed to flag down a taxi anywhere. Currently, almost 700 taxis are in service, with the brands of Santana, BYD, Chery, Suzuki etc. Most taxi drivers charge by the meter. Sometimes a reasonable flat rate is also acceptable if they refuse to use taximeter. But when being extremely overcharged, you can dial 0853-3297777 for a complaint.

The taxi fare differs from the car emission volume:
1. For cars with the emission volume lower than 1.8 liters (0.47 gallon), the base price is CNY5 for the first 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) and it charges CNY1 for each extra kilometer (0.6 mile).
2. For cars with the emission volume higher than 1.8 liters (0.47 gallon), the flag-down rate is CNY6 for the first 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) and the cost for each additional kilometer (0.6 mile) is CNY1.5.
3. Regardless of the car brands and emission volume, when a car runs farther than 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), 50% surcharge is required for empty return. If running between 00:00 and 07:00 the next day, the flag-down rate is twice of the daytime charge. During the period, when the distance is farther than 3 kilometers (1.9 miles), the cost of each kilometer rises by 50%.
4. When a car waits less than 5 minutes for a ride, no extra fee is charged, while when the duration is longer than that, the cost of each extra 5 minutes is the same as the unit price of each kilometer (0.6 mile).

From Anshun- dragon palace cave- waterfalls- AS
Hey,
I already read that there is no public transport to the huangguoshu waterfalls. It is easy to get a taxi from the dragon palace to the waterfalls and after that from the waterfalls to AS?
Or can you recommend any tour which covers it?
Thank you, cheers Mara

Yes, it’s easy and convenient to get a taxi or private car! The taxi or car can also take you back to AS.
BTW, I remember there is a bus from the cave to the waterfall at 13:30, but it needs to be booked in advance. You need to add wechat: gzjqztc to book it.

Yes, you can purchase the tickets upon your arrival, for the train schedule is dense. But if you are going to travel during peak season like National Day Holiday (October 1-7), you'd better book one in advance.

If you mean Guangshan Bus line 1 or line 2, yes, you can get on either of them. You should get off at Yuntan Bei Lukou bus stop. Then your hotel is around 10-15mins' walking distance away. You can walk along Wast Lincheng Road to East Lincheng Road after passing a large overpass, and find your hotel easily.
