Zhangjiakou Metro

Zhangjiakou metro, also called Zhangjiakou urban rail transit, is expected to cover major districts in the city such as Xuanhua, Xiahuayuan, Wanquan, Chongli, Qiaodong, and Qiaoxi Districts. The city will add metro lines 1 and 2 to the urban rail transit by the end of 2020. Zhangjiakou metro line 1 is scheduled to link Yanghe and Shuijingtun encompassing 22 stations. It will pass through the main commercial areas and scenic areas, such as North Business Street and Botanical Garden. Line 2 will start from Malianbao and Wanquan Town, include 25 stations via South Railway Station. According to the long-term plan, the city is going to run total 6 metro lines. After completion, passengers can take Zhangjiakou subway line 1 and transfer to line 4 at Guandi Temple easily. These metro lines will be very convenient for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in the city.

 Line 3: Zhaijiazhuang – Zhangjiakou University/Wanquan Town
 Note: Metro line 3 looks like a Y-shaped line extending in south to north direction, the main section of line 3 will connect Zhajiazhuang and Guanshahe Bridge. From Guanshahe Bridge, there will be two branch lines that can take passengers to Zhangjiakou University (northeastern) and Wanquan Town (northwestern) respectively.
