Introduction: The Shanghai Maqiao International Half Marathon will be held in Qizhong Tennis Center in Jan. 
Route: Qizhong Tennis Center - Gate No. 5 - North Kunyang Road - Yuanjiang Road - Shuguang Road - Yuanjiang Road - Zhongqing Road - Yuanjiang Road - North Kunyang Road - Gate No. 5 - Qizhong Tennis Center

Transportation: Take subway line 5 to Wenjing Road Station. Then take a taxi to the tennis center.

 AFC Champions League 2020 SIPG Football Club

Jan.28th – Apr.21st, 2020
Introduction: AFC Champions League is held by Asian Football Confederation every year. The yearly competition was formerly known as Asian Club Championship from 1971. In 1986, it was recognized and changed its name to Asian Champions Cup. The winner qualifies for the FIFA Club World Cup held in December.

 F1 Chinese Grand Prix

Introduction: This city is a paradise for F1 lovers. F1 Chinese Grand Prix is one of the popular Shanghai upcoming sports events. If you want to feel the speed and excitement, you can go to the International Circuit - the permanent venue for the Chinese Grand Prix of FIA Formula One Grand Prix Championship.

 Shanghai International Half Marathon

Introduction: The race is scheduled on the late April every year. It once again brings families, friends and major corporations together for a day of fun, team building and exercise. Passion, fun, teamwork and lifestyle, all of them embody the vigor of the running series.
Starting point and terminal: Fenghe Road, Pudong New Area, Oriental Sports Center

 Haiwan Half Marathon

Late Apr., 2020
Introduction: It has two race categories, including the 13 miles (21 kilometers) run and the 4 miles (7 kilometers) fun run. Both Chinese and foreigners can join the event. The half marathon should be finished within 3 hours and the fun run within 1.5 hours.

Highlight: As one of the important competitions in Shanghai, it has been held every year since 1996. If you love marathon, you can go and watch this exciting run. If you are interested in joining in, please make sure you are qualified to apply as a runner; i.e. you should be 18 years old or above and practice long-distance running on a regular basis.

It will be held in Chongming Sports Training Center from Sept.24th ~ 29th, which is located at No.300, Beiyan Road, Chenjia Town, Chongming District. About buying the tickets, I am not sure. You are suggested to consult the staff when you arriving there.

As far as I know, there isn't any road running races during this time in the city.
