Margie, you can apply for it from the nearby countries where there is a Chinese embassy or see if you can apply from the CVASC office in England by post. It's obvious that the second way is more convenient for you. So I advise you to contact the office and make a final decision. The contact number is 44(0)20 7776 7888. Email:

1 working day processing fee.
My son is currently out of the island and has to leave in a space of one day after his return. But he has to get a Chinese visa before he leaves since he will be going directly on to China. If he gets his passport to you at 8:30, is it possible to collect it by the end of the day? Or is it possible to be given the visa in a letter that he can travel with?

Yes, it's possible to get it by the end of day if you can use the rush service.
