From June 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2026, nationals of Uruguay holding ordinary passports are offered a 30-day visa-free entry to China for tourism, family visits, exchange visits, business and transit. Applying for a visa is necessary if staying for more than 30 days or traveling for other purposes.

All citizens of Uruguay holding ordinary passports are requested to submit their visa application to the consular office. If Uruguayans stay in Hong Kong for no more than 90 days and in Macau for less than 30 days, they are exempted from a visa.
 1. Original passport with at least six months of validity.
2. Completely filled Visa Application Form.
3. Photocopy of previous Chinese visas if any.
4. Documents including air ticket booking record (round trip) and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an invitation letter issued by a relevant entity or individual in China.
