Day 2 Nusa Dua to Uluwatu Sightseeing: Melasti Beach, Padang-Padang Beach, Uluwatu Temple
This morning, your private tour guide and the driver will take you to visit Melasti Beach, one of the most unspoiled beaches in Bali, with gentle waves and azure water. You could spend some leisurely time to enjoy the sunshine, salty air, and breathtaking view. Then, head to Padang-Padang Beach, a heaven for surfers from all over the world. The secluded stretch of beach features various landscapes of shimmering soft sand, lush forests, and distinctive rock formations.
Next, we’ll go to Uluwatu Temple on the 70-meter-high (230 ft.) cliff, which is a Hindu temple founded by a sage as a guardian of Bali’s southwestern coastline 700 years ago, offering spectacular view of the vast Indian Ocean. At sunset, the temple will be more vigorous when the traditional Kecak Dance is staging. With impressive and grand scenes, the primitive folk performance will tell you the story of how Rama struggled to rescue his wife with the help of the Monkey God Hanoman, which is from the Hindu epic Ramayana.
➤ Tip: Please pay attention to the monkeys that live near the temple, because these naughty creatures might grab your belongings, especially the hat, phone, sunglasses and necklace, in order to get food.

Day 4 Nusa Dua - Gunung Kawi Temple - Tegalalang Rice Terraces - Kintamani - Ubud
Escorted by your professional guide and driver, you’ll first visit an artisan village, and then the Luwak Coffee Plantation Farm. Luwak coffee is one of the most expensive and exclusive coffees in the world. It is produced from the luwak - Asian palm civet’s digestive system through an intriguing process. Stroll around the serene plantation, and get up close to the lovely luwak. Witness the entire making process of the coffee and try the local coffee.
Afterwards, we’ll head to Gunung Kawi Temple, a cultural monument with 10 shrines hewn into the cliffs which was built as the final resting place of the king as well as his wives and sons in the 11th century. The temple plays an important role in local festivals and religious activities. Pakerisan River peacefully runs through the heart of the temple, adding to the luster of this sacred place. After that, continue to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, a symbol of Balinese farming culture. Surrounded by flowers, palm trees and rural villages, the terraced layout is supported by the traditional Subak irrigation system. Next, we’ll head to Kintamani, which is a plateau region centered on Mount Batur, the second highest volcano in Bali with a height of 1,717 meters (5,633 ft.). The majestic mount and frequent volcanic activity bring abundant rainfall and fertile soil to Kintamani. Picturesque villages are embraced between mountains and Lake Batur. Day 7 Ubud - Ulun Danu Beratan Temple - Bali Handara Gate - Jatiluwih Rice Terraces - Seminyak
Today, we’ll drive northwards to first visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a landmark of Bali in the semi-Buddhist and semi-Hindu style, dedicated to Dewi Danau - the Goddess of Lake who ensures prosperity, fertility and irrigation. The temple sits beside Lake Beratan, seemingly floating on the lake. The cool mountain air and the graceful architecture could wash your blundering heart and purify the soul. The 11-level Pura Puncak Mangu of the temple, which enshrines the god Vishnu, is also the background picture of 50,000 Indonesian rupiah bill. Then, let’s go to the Bali Handara Gate, which is a hot Instagram site for tourists to take iconic photos. The tall stone structure looks like a split gateway, symbolizing the entrance from the outer world to the sacred place and showcasing good versus evil, life versus death, and light versus dark.
Our next stop is Aling-Aling Waterfall, the only waterfall where tourists can experience cliff jumps in Bali. With a drop of over 30 meters (100 ft.), the waterfall has several pools and cascades below, which are perfect for playing with water in an environment embraced by natural beauty. Try the thrilling 5-meter (16 ft.) or even 10-meter (32 ft.) jump into the water, or experience the 12-meter (40 ft.) exciting waterslide. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes with you.
Next, we’ll proceed to Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, which is the largest terraced field in Bali and could date back to the 11th century. The fields give a broad view and visual enjoyment for you to get mesmerized by the tranquil beauty and the perfect combination of culture and nature. Flying a drone can help you get some splendid photos of the endless fields from a high angle. Finally, we’ll drive southwards to Seminyak and check into the hotel.
➤ Jatiluwih Rice Terraces vs. Tegalalang Rice Terraces
The two spots have their own distinguishing features: Tegalalang Rice Terraces looks more compact with its picture-perfect landscape and popular photo spots like jungle swings. And Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is relatively more unsophisticated for you to escape from the crowds and entirely relax yourself in the natural surroundings.
