Day 1 Arrival in Harbin
Ice and Snow World
Our guide and driver will meet you at the airport or railway station upon your arrival. In order to have a relaxing itinerary, we suggest you take a train or flight that arrives before 12:00 noon. We will give you for a hearty lunch at a famous local restaurant.
After lunch, we will start this 2-day private Harbin tour at the Central Street, a busy pedestrian street for shopping and dining. Old western-styled architectures line both sides of the street and is worth taking pictures of. You will have time to wander around the area to try local snacks or shop for souvenirs. Then we will move on to the St. Sophia Cathedral located in the bustling Central Street. It is a large Byzantine-style Eastern Orthodox Church. The big green tipped dome is its distinct feature.
We will take the rest of the day to explore the wonderful Ice and Snow World, which is a must for the Harbin Ice Festival tour. A lot of ice sculptures masterpieces are on display, creating splendid pictures with ice crystals. There are also many fun ice and snow recreational activities, such as sledding and snow fighting. It is especially gorgeous after dark when the crystal world is lit into a dream-like wonderland of colorful castles.
Finally, our guide will take you to a hotel in the downtown hotel where you can get a good rest and be ready for the next day's adventure.

Day 2 Departure from Harbin
St. Sophia Cathedral
Today's Harbin tour package will cover two spots: Sun Island and Siberian Tiger Park. A renowned summer resort, Sun Island is nestled on the northern bank of the Songhuajiang River. Every year, a lot of artists from all over the world come to the park to create their snow sculptures, which make a picturesque snow gallery. The park also offers a lot of activities, such as snow motorcycling, mini skiing and sledding. You can also feed squirrels and deer in the animal zone.
Then our guide will lead you to the world's largest natural park for the Siberian tigers, one of the most endangered species on earth. You can take a special iron-wire caged vehicle to watch the free roaming lions and tigers up close. What's more, you can buy some ducks or chickens to feed them.
After the tour, you will have a hearty lunch at a good local restaurant. Then your Harbin 2 days tour comes to an end here as our driver and guide will escort you to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. We recommend that you schedule your flight or train after 16:00 pm.

Harbin gets really cold in winter starting in November. Most sightseeing activities take place outdoors, so we recommend that you bring warm clothes so as not to get cold.

April Tour
Hi! We're planning a tour to Harbin this April 15, 2016. Can you please suggest a place to visit during this time? Are there skiing parks still open during this season?
Thank you!
Thank you!

April is not a very good time to visit Harbin as the ice sculptures are not available at that time. You may visit St. Sofia Orthodox Church, Centre Street, Dragon Tower, Zhaolin Park and Siberian Tiger Park. Yabuli is the most recommended place for skiing, but it is closed at the end of March. If you want to go skiing, you may try to contact the skiing resort at Changbai Mountain.

Need Recommendation for Ski Resort for non-ski People in Harbin
I would like to take a one day trip to the Ski Resort on March 5th. Our objective is to enjoy the environment without much of skiing activity (simple snow sled is good).
Can you help
1) recommend the right Ski Resort and
2) do we need an advance booking/ticket buying. If yes, how can we do that
Thank you and best regards,
Belle

Hi, for ski resort in Harbin, I strongly recommend Yabuli. It is one of the most famous resorts there. You can purchase the tickets upon arrival.

I suggest you take train to Yabuli, very convenient. You can take train no. K7227 from Harbin Railway Station at 06:53. The train arrives at Yabuli South at 09:22 and the fare is around CNY30 per person. After visit, you may take train back to Harbin at around 4pm.
