Day 1 Arrival in Kolkata
Welcome to Kolkata. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the airport and chauffeur you to the hotel we have booked for you. Your wonderful Kolkata tour commences with a visit to the Victoria Memorial - a splendid white-marble monument built in memory of Queen Victoria of England being crowned empress of India. Then we will drive across the centuries-old Howrah Bridge to reach Dalhousie Square, now known as BBD Bagh, and take a leisurely stroll around this oasis. Then we visit Kalighat Temple on the bank of the Hoogly and dedicated to goddess Kali. We end today's tour with visit to St. Paul's Cathedral Church and a Mother House.

Day 2 Kolkata - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
This morning, you will fly to Bagdogra, a wonderful stop on your India tour from Kolkata. After landing, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Darjeeling for 3.5 hours. Darjeeling is a fascinating natural getaway housing a picturesque hill station that allows you to escape from the tedious routine life. It is also famous as the place of origin for Darjeeling black tea and has lush tea plantations. The rest of the day is left for you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the nature. We will spend the night in Darjeeling.

Day 3 Darjeeling
Go to Tiger Hill for sunrise. Take the toy train to Ghoom Monastery and transfer back by car. Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. (B)
In the early morning, we will go to Tiger Hill. With an altitude of 2,590 meters (8,450 feet), it is a superb spot to capture the breathtaking sunrise over the snow-capped peaks of Mount Everest and Mount Kangchenjunga. Next, we will take 50 minutes' toy train to Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the Darjeeling region. Transfer you back to the city for afternoon tour. We will proceed to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute to get insights into legendary mountaineers who have conquered Mt. Everest. Then we continue to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park to see rare and endangered animals kept in their natural environment, and drop by the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center to learn about the local Tibetans' cultural diversity.

Day 4 Darjeeling - Pelling
Transfer to Pelling for 6 hours. Visit the Pemayangtse Monastery. (B)
Today, we continue our India holiday package from Kolkata to Pelling by a comfortable road trip. The transfer takes about 6 hours. After checking into a local hotel, we will drive to the holy Pemayangtse Monastery, a time-honored Buddhist temple. Built by Lama Lhatsun Chenpo in the early 18th century, the monastery is inhabited by a large number of Buddhists of the Nyingma sect. The monastery not only showcases numerous religious images and objects, but also offers a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchanjunga. After the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel for a good rest.

Day 5 Pelling - Gangtok
Drive for 6-6.5 hours to Gangtok. Visit the Buddha Park of Ravangla on the way. (B)
Your 12 days India tour package will continue to Gangtok today by private car. It is about 6-6.5 hour's journey. En route, visit the Buddha Park of Ravangla, which features a 130-foot high Buddha statue. On arrival in Gangtok, we will assist you with the check-in procedures for your hotel, and then you will have the rest of the day for your own exploration. Gangtok, the capital of the Himalayan state of Sikkim, used to be a trading hub between Tibet and India. It boasts a stunning hill station, age-old Tibetan monasteries, and a popular Buddhist Pilgrimage Center with a large number of devotees. The downtown area is surrounded by terraced fields which offer perfect trekking for travelers who like outdoors.

Day 6 Gangtok
Visit Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten, Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery and Directorate of Handloom and Handicrafts. (B)
We will have a full day exploring Tibetan Buddhist attractions in Gangtok. First, we will take you to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a grand museum displaying a great number of rare books and Buddhist scriptures. There you will have a chance to dig deeply into Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan traditions. Then we will head for the Do Drul Chorten, Rumtek Monastery housing a pure white stupa of great significance in Sikkim. Prayer wheels engraved with mantras are the highlight of the monastery. Finally, we will pay a visit to the Enchey Monastery built in 1909, and wander around the Directorate of Handloom and Handicrafts.

Day 7 Gangtok - Bangdogra - Kolkata
Transfer you to Bangdogra airport (5 hours) and fly back to Kolkata. Airport pick-up and check in at the hotel. (B)
Your Gangtok trip concludes here, and we will transfer you for about 5 hours to Bangdogra Airport to connect with a flight back to Kolkata. After landing, our friendly driver will meet you at the airport, and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to take a break or to wander around the local markets.

Day 8 Kolkata - Bhubaneshwar - Puri
Fly to Bhubaneshwarour. Pick you up at the airport and transfer 1-2 hours to Puri. Check in at the hotel. (B)
In the morning, we will continue the Kolkata tour with an onward flight to Bhubaneshwarour. Upon arrival, we will pick you up and drive you 1-2 hours to Puri where we have picked a well-located hotel for your accommodation. You will have the rest of the day to explore by yourself. Puri is not only a popular holiday resort in eastern India, but also one of India's seven sacred cities. Furthermore, Puri offers gorgeous beaches and the sea is ideal for surfing and taking a cool dip.

Explore various temples in Puri, including the Shree Lokanath Temple. (B)
Your morning excursion will cover various temples in Puri. The Shree Lokanath Temple stands out because of its great Hindu significance as a religious site dedicated to Lord Shiva. You will have the afternoon free to explore more temples, or just relax on the fascinating golden beaches. Enjoy your overnight stay in Puri.

Day 10 Puri - Konark - Bhubaneshwar
Transfer to Konark. Visit the Sun Temple. Continue to drive to Bhubaneshwar and check in at the hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Today, your India holiday package from Kolkata will extend to Konark and to Bhubaneshwar by car. The whole transfer time is 3 hours. In Konark, you will marvel at the Sun Temple, devoted to the god of sun Surya. As a World Heritage Site built in 1250 AD, the temple is blessed with exquisite stone carvings on the whole framework. The Temple took the form of a large chariot with 12 pairs of stone-carved wheels and galloping horses. Unfortunately, it is mostly in ruins. Afterwards, we will drive to Bhubaneshwar where we will spend the night. The remainder of the day will be free for you to rest or explore on your own.

Day 11 Bhubaneshwar
Visit Lingaraja Temple, Muktesvara Temple, Rajarani Temple, Ananta Vasudeva Temple. (B)
Bhubaneswar is also known as the Temple City. Today our guide will show you some most popular temples. Our first stop is the Lingaraja Temple built in the 11th century and dedicated to Shiva. Then we will visit the 10th-century Hindu shrine, Muktesvara Temple. After that we will glance at the Rajarani Temple built between the 10th and 11th centuries out of red and gold sandstones. It is also known as the Love Temple due to its stylish and vivid carvings of women and couples. Our last stop will be the Ananta Vasudeva Temple devoted to Lord Krishna. At the end of today's tour, you will be driven back to your hotel to get ready for tomorrow's departure.
