Day 1 Flying from Manchester
There is one direct flight from Manchester to Beijing on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday weekly and the journey takes about 10.5 hours. Today, you will take a flight to Beijing on your own and we will prepare your air ticket and confirm with you in advance to make sure you have a smooth China tour from UK.
Day 2 Arrival in Beijing
Upon arrival, we will meet you at the Beijing Airport and then transfer you to a luxury hotel for check-in. After that, you can take a rest in the hotel to recover from the jet lag or have a short tour to get familiar with the capital city on your own.

Your China tour from Manchester starts with Tiananmen Square, where you can see a lot of memorable buildings including Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes and Great Hall of the People. Next, you will be guided to the famous Forbidden City. Once served as the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911), the Forbidden City houses about 1/6 of the China’s cultural relics. After visiting, we will arrange an a la carte welcome lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) for you and you can taste authentic Chinese food like Peking Roast Duck.

After lunch, we will head to the Temple of Heaven where you can learn about the worship ceremonies of Chinese emperors to heaven and gods. In the evening, a fantastic Chinese Kung Fu Show will be prepared at the Red Theater.

Day 4 Beijing
Today's Mutianyu Great Wall is undoubtedly an essential part of your China tour from Britain. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Great Wall and the round-trip cable car is included. The ancient walls and dense watchtowers for military defense will leave you a deep impression. To memorize this moment, we will provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. No lunch will be arranged today. You are suggested to take some fast food or have lunch by yourself in a restaurant nearby. Afterwards, you will be driven back to the city and enjoy some free time at a local market.

Day 5 Beijing - Xi'an
Today's itinerary starts with the Summer Palace which is one of the most famous royal resorts in China. You can appreciate the delicate pavilions and elegant palaces here. Next, you will have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird's Nest).

At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served for you at a popular restaurant. After that, you will be guided to have a rickshaw trip to the old Hutongs, which are typical ancient city alley ways and lanes in Beijing. What's more, you will have an opportunity to try the traditional Chinese Paper Cutting. Then you will take a flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival, our Xi’an guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 6 Xi'an

Xi'an is the second city of your China tour from Manchester. Today, we will pay a visit to the well-known Terracotta Army, which has the reputation of the eighth wonder of the world. The marvelous terracotta soldiers and horses were all buried to protect China’s first emperor, Emperor Qin Shi Huang. After appreciating the ancient warriors and weapons, you will be accompanied to taste home cooked a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at a local family. In addition, you will have a chance to learn to cook Chinese food from the enthusiastic hostess.

In the afternoon, we will move towards the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum. In the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), the Small Wild Goose Pagoda was built for storing and translating the Buddhist scriptures taken from India. At dusk, enjoying the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance show while eating the Dumpling Dinner will definitely add fun to your trip.

Day 7 Xi'an

Today's first stop is City Wall Park, where you can learn to practice a special Chinese Kung Fu, Tai Chi with a master. Afterwards, we will head to the ancient City Wall which has a history of more than 600 years. Cycling on the City Wall is really an exciting experience; the bike rental fee is not included. At noon, you will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a fancy local restaurant. After that, we will visit the Shaanxi History Museum, where houses ancient treasures including bronze wares, pottery figurines and murals from different dynasties. Then we will proceed to the Great Mosque and taste snacks in Muslim bazaar.

Day 8 Xi'an - Guilin
Take a flight to Guilin in the early morning and our local guide will meet you at Guilin airport. You will then be escorted to the hotel and have a short break. Afterwards, you will be guided to visit the amazing karst cave, the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is the landmark of Guilin.

Day 9 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin

After breakfast, we will cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. This is surely an essence of your Guilin tour and the picturesque scenery along the Li River will leave you a deep impression. After arriving at Yangshuo, we will visit the famous West Street, where you can taste delicious snacks and pick some souvenirs. After that, we will appreciate the rural landscape in the countryside and pay a short visit to a local’s house. Then we will drive back to Guilin.

Tips: As the cruise company offers box lunch on the ship. It may fail to meet with your approval. We are aware of the shortcomings and suggest you prepare for the cruise with a generous breakfast at the hotel.

Day 10 Guilin - Shanghai
Today, our guide will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Shanghai, the largest city in your China tour from Manchester. Upon landing, our Shanghai guide will pick you up and assist you to check in at the hotel. The rest time of the day is free for you to explore the modern city.

In the morning, we will head to the Shanghai Museum featured the ancient bronze potteries, calligraphy masterpieces, and Chinese paintings. The next stop is the Yu Garden, which is the most famous and exquisite garden of the city. You can not only appreciate the beautiful pavilions, rockeries and ponds with elaborate design but also glance at plaques, inscriptions of the ancient Chinese artists.

After exploring the garden and the traditional bazaar nearby, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be prepared for you at a nice restaurant.

In the afternoon, our guide will accompany you to visit the Former French Concession and vigorous Bund area, where you can appreciate the buildings with western characteristics. Besides that, a cruise tour on the Huangpu River will help you enjoy the city from a different angle.

Day 12 Shanghai - Manchester
