Your wonderful China tour from Australia starts from Tiananmen Square which is the largest city square in the entire world. At this point, our guide will accompany you as we walk north to the Forbidden City, also called Imperial Palace. The palace is known as one of the most majestic palaces in the world and it is the essence of ancient Chinese palace architecture. It has served as the home of emperors and their families, as well as being the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government for about 500 years.

Then, an a la carte welcome lunch will be offered to you at a great restaurant, where authentic Chinese food and popular Peking Roast Duck will be provided.

After lunch, we continue our journey to the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient emperors worshipped the heaven and prayed for a bountiful grain harvest. Afterwards you will be offered an exquisite Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater.

Today's tour will lead you to Mutianyu Great Wall; this is one of the most beautiful and popular sections of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car rides are arranged for you to ascend and descend the wall easily. To accentuate such a memorable and enjoyable experience, we will specially prepare a glass of wine to toast on top of the wall.

Since the restaurants near the Great Wall do not meet our service standards, we will not organize a uniform dining experience here. You can bring some fast food for your lunch, or choose to dine at a restaurant with the help of our guide.

In the afternoon, return to downtown Beijing and enjoy some free time at a featured local market. Finally, our guide and driver will send you back to your hotel.

We arrived back in Sydney today, we have had a wonderful vacation. We particularly enjoyed our stay in China with Karlie -we felt that the tour was extremely well organised and as we expressed in our questionnaires we were very impressed with this organisation and would definitely use Travel China Guide again if the need arises (and would recommend them to all our friends).

We were truly shown a great time and we were very impressed with our guide in Xian, she understood our needs. Our guide in Xian was fantastic. Whilst our guides are incredibly well learned. All in all it was a life changing experience and we thank you very much. ... More
