Xi'an-Almaty Tourist Train Launched:
A new tourist train Y29 connecting China and Kazakhstan is now on its first journey. The train departs from Xi'an, the hometown of the Terracotta Army, on May 29, 2025 at 11:30am and arrives in Almaty on May 31 at 5:45pm, passing by Silk Road destinations of Shaanxi, Gansu, and Xinjiang. The passengers will transit and go though immigrations at Horgos Station of Xinjiang. For the return trip, the train will depart from Almaty on June 05 at 8:20am and finally arrive in Xi'an on June 07 at 6:30pm. The total duration for this trial journey is 10 days.
Both flight and train will make travel between these two destinations more easily.
