Are there passport, visa, or Covid checkpoints on the road from Kunming to Jinghong?

As I know, there are several Covid checkpoints on the road. You need to show the green health code.

First, you can take taxi to East Coach station with around CNY20, then take direct tourist bus from there to scenic area.

We are planning a trip in September 2019 and hope to cover Pu'er since we will be covering most of the
Ancient Tea Horse Trail. Most of the organized trips do not cover this town. How far is it from Kunming and what is the best way to see this town?

It is around 420km between these two places. You can take direct bus from Kunming South Coach Station to it. It takes around 6 hours with CNY173.

We want to see the tofu terrace near Shangrila. Is it a rice terrace?
We arrive Kunming At end May 2019. How to go to tofu terrace from Kunming? Worth seeing?

Do you refer to Baishuitai? If yes, you can take a coach from Kunming West Coach Station to Shangri-la Coach Station first. Then transfer to a bus to Baishuitai (Sanbaxiang) and get off at Baidi Village. After arriving, walk to the scenic area. :)

We plan to visit Yunnan on July 2018 ,please enlighten the travelling routine from Malaysia.
We intend to participating the local festival in July(pls suggest).We are in a group of 6 persons.

You can take a flight from Malaysia and transfer in Singapore to Kunming and then to Lijiang. You may participate in Torch Festival of the Yi people. Since you have 6 people, I think you’d better find a travel agency; they can set a more reasonable travel route for you. travel
