I want to go to The Summer Palace (East side gate) by subway and bus

Hi I'm planning for trip to Beijing on May 17 and i will be stayed at King's Joy Hotel, 81 Mei Shi Jie, Xuanwu District.
I want to go to Yiheyuan (East side gate) by subway and bus, could you please tell me how can I go???

From your hotel, walk south around 800 yards to get to Zhushikou Station. Take subway line 7 to Caishikou Station. Then transfer to line 4 to Beigongmen Station, Exit D. After arriving, walk southeast around 0.6 mile to find the destination.

Hi I am comming to Summer palace with my children by subway which walking circuit you recommend me

We are planning to get there at main entrance does that mean north entrance?. Should we get out by est entrance? I don't know how to go back to subway children doesn't walk to much. which places you think will be more interested to children? thanks.

Usually, the main entrance of Summer Palace is the East palace Gate, not the north one with subway station nearby. You can take bus to the East Palace Gate and then walk left along the Lake. Take battery car or boat on the way. Then go to the Long Gallery, Hall of Dispelling cloud, and tha attractions around. Then walk to the North gate for subway. Yes, it is not a easy job for the children.

Entrance fee comes with guide maps?

Hi! Am planning our trip to Beijing next week and is wondering if we enter the tourist attractions like temple of heaven, summer palace and forbideen city, and pay the entrance fee, will we be given a guide map of the place? so I know if I have to print a map of the compound of summer palace, temple of heaven and forbidden city before going. Thank you so much for any help!

No, I was not given a map when I visited the Temple of Heaven, Fobidden City. You should buy.

What is the bus No. and where is the bus stop ?

You can walk to Tiananmen West to take bus no. 690 to Xinjiekou Nan Stop, transfer to Bus no. 808 to its terminal where is Summer Palace (North gate).
