The first phase of Shijiazhuang subway line 1 connects Xiaohedadao in the east and Xiwang in the west, covering around 24 kilometers (15 miles). The operating section of Line 3  runs between Shi’erzhong and Shijiazhuang Railway Station via 6 stations at intervals of 8 to 10 min. Passengers can easily transfer from line 1 to line 3 at Xinbai Plaza. Shijiazhuang metro line 2 passes through Zhengding New District and Luancheng County. Line 1, 2 and 3 form a convenient urban rail transportation system. The long-term plan shows that Shijiazhuang will totally have 6 subway lines with the length of around 240 kilometers (150 miles).
 

Ticket Fare

The charge varies from the distance: CNY2 for the first 6km (3.5mi); CNY 1 for each extra 7km (4mi) for 6-20km (3.5- 12mi); CNY 1 for each extra 8km (5mi) for 20-36km (12-22mi); CNY 1 for each extra 9km (5.5mi) for 36-54km (22-34mi); CNY 1 for each extra 10km (6mi) over 54km (34mi).

 Note:
Children under 1.3 meters (4 feet) can enjoy free ride on the subway.

Is there a prepaid card or tourist card for subway/metro in Shijiazhuang?

Yes, the Transportation Smart Card (Yikatong) can be used to pay for buses and subway. However, I heard it needs real-name authentication. To get one, you may need to show your passport, and per cards needs CNY20 refundable deposit.
