Xueyi Dousha (Snow Sweetened Bean Paste)
Xueyi Dousha, a tasty snack with a romantic name, has had hundreds of years of history in Changchun. It is one of most popular snacks for tourists here. Red beans, eggs and white sugar are the main ingredients. White sugar will be scattered all over the round dousha balls. Therefore the name Xueyi Dousha (sweetened bean paste with snow-white clothes) is formed.

Chaoxian Lengmian (Korea Cold Noodle)
Lengmian (cold noodle) is a snack with a Korean flavor. Wheat flour, buckwheat flour and amylum are main ingredients. The cooled hard-boiled noodles are put into cooling beef or chicken soup with piccalilli, sesame oil, and slices of beef, bolus of chicken, apple slices and egg as seasonings. Especially suitable during the hot summer, you will feel extremely refreshed after enjoying this delicious snack.

Li Liangui Xunrou Dabing (Li Liangui Bacon and Cake)
The history of Li Liangui Xunrou Dabing (initiated by Li Liangui) can be traced back to 1894. To date, there are already more than 70 branches having been opened all over China. Xunrou (bacon) is made of top-grade fresh pork boiled in soup which is mixed with dozens of rare traditional Chinese medicine. Dabing (cake) comes from flour blended with the soup in which pork is boiled. It is like a golden full moon.

Piccalilli
Piccalilli is one of the most important dishes for almost every Korean family. Chilli, garlic and ginger are three essential flavorings. However, pear and apple pieces, slices of green radish and monosodium glutamate are also needed. Piccalilli is richer in nutrition than traditional pickled vegetables.

Dagao
Dagao is the most famous traditional food of Korea. It is thumped by wooden gavel in a trough; therefore its name is formed. There are two kinds of Dagao, white Dagao made of sticky rice and yellow Dagao made of glutinous millet.

Name of special dish eaten in restaurant in Changchun in 2006
This tasted like baked noodles, perhaps made with corn flour & egg whites, slightly sweet, slightly crispy. It was served as a dinner side dish.

It might be corn noodles called cha tiao locally.
