Day 1 Flying from Toronto
There are two direct flights from Toronto to Beijing every day. We will book the appropriate one for you based on your time schedule. On the travelling day, you need to find your own way to the airport.
Day 2 Arrival in Beijing
After a 14-hour flight, you will arrive in Beijing, where our experienced local guide will pick you up outside the customs of the airport, and the driver will then transfer you to the hotel. During the rest of the day, you can have a good rest to restore energy for the following China tour from Toronto.

After breakfast, we will officially start your China tour from Toronto with the majestic Tiananmen Square. Walking by this China's largest urban square, we will approach the Forbidden City, which is a famous imperial palace complex. These traditional buildings once were home to Chinese emperors.

Thereafter, you will enjoy an a la carte welcome lunch at a well-known restaurant, where you can taste authentic Peking Roast Duck. After lunch, continue to visit the Temple of Heaven, whose layout represents the belief that heaven is round while earth is square by ancient Chinese. At night, we will arrange a fantastic Kung Fu Show at Red Theatre to round out today's trip.

Day 4 Beijing
This morning, we will ascend the Mutianyu Great Wall, without which your China tour from Canada will not be complete. A round-trip cable car is arranged for climbing up and down easily. Moreover, we will serve you a cup of red wine on the wall while you are enjoying the winding Great Wall. This would be a unique experience throughout your life. Lunch is not arranged today, because the restaurants nearby can't reach our standard. We suggest you have a big breakfast or pack some snacks. Or you can have some fast food at nearby restaurants with the assistance of our guide.

Later, you will be transferred back to downtown and have some free time at a featured local market.

Day 5 Beijing - Xi'an
Today's itinerary starts with the Summer Palace, which is the best preserved imperial garden in the world. It was served as a lakeside resort for emperors to escape from the heat in summer. Then, stop shortly at the Bird's Nest and take some photos. Around noon, we will have an a la carte lunch at a famous restaurant.

After lunch, take a rickshaw tour through the old Hutongs. Moreover, try your own hand at Chinese Paper Cutting. Later, you will be transferred to the airport to fly to Xi'an. Upon arrival, our local guide will greet you at the arrival hall and escort you to the hotel for checking in. During the rest of the day, you can either choose to have a good rest or start your China tour from Toronto in Xi'an by yourself.

In the morning, we will explore the mysterious Terracotta Army, where you may feel shocked about such a large artistic collection of lifelike terracotta figures. This amazing experience must be one of the highlights of your China tour from Canada. After sightseeing, we will take you to a Chinese family, where you can have a taste of home-made a la carte dishes and learn to cook Chinese food for free.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Xi'an Museum and Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is an iconic Buddhist pagoda in Xi'an. This evening, watch the fascinating Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show as well as having the tasty Dumpling Dinner.

Clients visiting in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec need to arrange the dinner and evening activity on their own for this day, since the theater is usually not open at that time.
Day 7 Xi'an

This morning, we will first have a leisure walk around the City Wall Park, where many locals do morning exercises. This is a true reflection of local life. Then, we will arrange you to practice Tai Chi with a master. Next, ascend the Xi'an City Wall, which is surrounded by a moat. The City Wall was used to defend the ancient capital in the past. You can wander or take a bike riding on the wall (bike rental fee is on your own). After an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant, continue to visit Shaanxi History Museum. Then, explore the Great Mosque and its surrounding Muslim Bazaar, where you can not only experience the local Muslim lifestyle, but also taste the authentic snacks.

Day 8 Xi'an - Chengdu
After an adequate breakfast, our guide will transfer you to the Xi'an North Railway Station to catch a morning high speed train to Chengdu. After about 4 hours, you will arrive in Chengdu, and our local guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Lunch is not provided today and you may try some Sichuan dishes. Our guide will give you some nice suggestions. This afternoon is totally free for you to relax.

Day 9 Chengdu

This morning, we will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. You can see these cute pandas eating bamboo, playing with each other, or even climbing trees. After that, approach the Broad and Narrow Alley, where you can have some delicious local snacks as lunch. Next is the Jinsha Site Museum, which aims to protect Sichuan culture. Afterwards, we will have some leisure time to experience the casual lifestyle of locals at Renmin Park.

Day 10 Chengdu - Chongqing
In the morning, our guide will transfer you to the railway station for a two-hour bullet train to Chongqing, the next destination of your China tour from Toronto. When the train arrives, our local guide will meet you at the exit and then take you to visit the Jiefangbei CBD and Ci Qi Kou Ancient Village. You can have lunch and dinner on your own with our guide's good recommendation. After dinner, our guide will transfer you to the 5-star President No.8 ship for a three-day Yangtze River cruise tour.

Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise
Between 07:00 and 08:00, the breakfast will be served at the dining hall. Then, the ship guide will give a brief presentation of the cruise itinerary. Then, the morning is completely free for you to relax or enjoy the picturesque sceneries along the river. Around 12:30, disembark and visit the Shuangguishan National Forest Park. Entering the park, you will be treated to a harmonious place where the birds are flying over the bubbling stream and verdant forest as well as the ancient architectures hidden in the trees and flowers. Then, re-embark the ship and continue cruise tour. At night, you will be invited to join in the Captain's Welcome party.

Day 12 Yangtze River Cruise

Today, the ship will pass the three gorges of the Yangtze River in sequence. The ship will first reach Qutang Gorge and later pass by Wu Gorge. On the way, disembark at Badong and transfer to a small boat to explore the Shennong Stream at a close distance. Afterwards, go back to the cruise ship and sail into Xiling Gorge.

Day 13 Yichang - Shanghai
After breakfast, check out and take an onshore exploration of the Three Gorges Dam, which is the largest hydro-electric project in the world. Then, you will be transferred to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang. Our local guide will pick you up there and then send you to the railway station for a bullet train to Shanghai, the last destination of your China tour from Toronto. The train will arrive at Shanghai in about 7.5 hours. Our Shanghai guide will meet you at the train station and then transfer you to the hotel.

Day 14 Shanghai

The first stop of your China tour from Canada in Shanghai is the Shanghai Museum. Then, visit the famous Yu Garden and its nearby Yuyuan Bazaar. Yu Garden is a typical garden of south China construction style. At noon, we will arrange an a la carte farewell lunch at a well reputed local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue to visit the Former French Concession. Then, take a leisure walk along the Bund, where you can see almost 50 western style buildings from colonial period of Shanghai. Moreover, we will specially arrange a cruise on Huangpu River for you.

Day 15 Shanghai - Toronto
After hearty breakfast at the hotel, you need to find your own way to the airport for flight back home. We recommend you take a taxi to the Pudong International Airport, which generally costs CNY 200. There are two direct flights from Shanghai to Toronto every day. After a 14-hour flight, you will return home. Wish you have had a pleasant tour with us in China!
