Changsha Weather in September

 (1) As the transition from summer to autumn takes place in September, the weather of Changsha in this month gets a little cooler. In general, the temperature sees a gradual decrease. In the first half of the month, the city still experiences high temperature of 39 degrees Celsius (102 degrees Fahrenheit), making people feel extremely hot outdoors. After mid-September, cold air causes obvious temperature drops, and the high temperature can fall to 25°C (77°F), bringing some coolness and making it ideal to travel. The low temperature ranges from 29 to 18°C (84 to 64°F), and the temperature between day and night is relatively large after mid-September.

(2) Changsha gets low rainfall of about 84 mm in about 9 days, and the intensity of precipitation is not high. Showers happen frequently on days with rainfall, and will lead to a-few-degree decrease in temperature and make the weather cooler and more comfortable, especially in the first half of the month. In very rare cases, heavy rain falls down all of a sudden and lasts for a short period of time.

(3) Fog sometimes forms at dawn in Changsha in September, which is caused by the occasional temperature drops together and the high humidity, and visibility in the early morning will be affected. The fog usually disperses as the temperature rises.

Clothes: On sunny days with 30°C-and-above (86°F) heat, recommended clothes are T-shirts, shorts, thin long pants, skirts, and dresses. On cooler rainy or overcast days, and also at cooler dawn and dusk to night, wear long-sleeved shirts and sweatpants.

Shoes: Breathable and non-slippery flats or sneakers.
 1. Enjoy Drifting in Liuyang City
In view that the weather in the first half of September is still hot, you can add water activities into your travel plan in the afternoon on sunny days. The river channel in the Daweishan Mountain in Liuyang is relatively smooth, so you can enjoy your drifting in a more relaxing way.
