Clothes to Wear in Bangkok in September

When preparing for your September trip to Bangkok, pack thin clothes like short-sleeve t-shirt, short pants or skirts. A sunhat is needed to protect oneself from the burning sun while rain gear is necessary for the frequent rainy days. Please also know that when visiting temples, pants and dress below kneels should be worn and sleeveless upper clothes are forbidden.

Get up early when it is not so hot yet to pay a visit to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. It is the largest and most famous floating market in the suburb of Bangkok, where one can look into locals’ life style, taste delicious food and appreciate the rural scenery. If interested, one can take a boat to visit the nearby orchards and learn to make coconut candies with the locals. When in downtown, it is advised to visit the Bangkok National Museum, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. There, one can appreciate traditional Thai style architecture, and have a look of various treasures and cultural relics. If interested, one may attend the alms giving in the morning, through which to get a deep impression of local Buddhism culture. Other must-visits in Bangkok include the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Chao Phraya River.
