Da Nang is the fourth largest city of Vietnam, which lies half way between Hanoi in the North and Ho Chi Minh City in the South. Da Nang is popularly known as the commercial and educational center of South-Central Vietnam and it is often regarded as an important part of Da Nang travel plan. Da Nang is also the most important port city of Vietnam and it is situated on the coast of South China Sea at the mouth of the Han River. As an important transportation hub in Central Vietnam, Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is the third busiest airport in Vietnam. Vietnam Airlines has daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang and other destinations in Vietnam. There are also international flights to Da Nang Airport from Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. One can travel by air from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang in 1hr 20 min. The flight fare ranges from 501,000 to 1,720,000 dong. Da Nang Airport is about 5 km (3.2 miles) away from the city center of Da Nang. Tourists can hire a taxi to travel the 10-minute journey and the taxi usually charges a fare of 77,500 to 96,500 dong. Connected with Hue, Saigon and Hanoi via rail network, Da Nang Train Station is one of the three largest railway stations in Vietnam, welcoming passengers from north to south.

Tourists can hire a taxi to travel from Hoi An to Da Nang, which covers 28.1km (17.6 miles) in 26min and charges a fare of 438,413 to 563,674 dong. Tourists can take up the bus services to travel from the Marble Mountains to Da Nang. One has to walk to 618 Le Van Hien from the mountains and take a bus to 38 Ngu Hanh Son. The bus usually charges a fare of 7,500 -10,950 dong. The taxi charges a fare of 188,000 – 235,000 dong to travel 11 km (6.8 miles) from the mountain to Da Nang.
