Macau Light Rapid Transit Taipa Line

Macau Light Rapid TransitBarra ↔ Taipa Ferry Terminal

(Identification Color: Green        )

Taipa Line is most commonly used in Macau’s light rapid transit system. Stretching 12.5 km (7.8 mi) with 13 stations, it welcomes tourists at transportation junctions in Macau, including the airport and Taipa Ferry Terminal, and sends them to different attractions in Taipa, such as Rua do Cunha, Taipa Houses, and various casinos at Cotai Strip. With Barra station as the western end, Taipa Line also makes it possible to quickly reach classic attractions on Macau Peninsula like A-Ma Temple and Maritime Museum.

Taipa Line operates at 06:30 - 23:15 on weekdays and 06:30 - 23:59 on holidays with an interval of 5 – 10.5 minutes, and a whole one-way trip between Barra and Taipa Ferry Terminal takes about 28 minutes. The ticket fare varies between MOP 6 - 12.

The metro train usually has 2 – 4 carriages; without driver cab at its beginning or tail, the train becomes a moving sightseeing platform for the stunning Cotai Strip outside the window. During the ride, passengers can fully admire the panoramic view of those casino buildings through large glass windows.
