Taipei Weather in August

August is right the summer time in Taipei and one of the hottest months of the year. Also, don’t forget sunglasses, sunhat, and sunscreen cream. It’s also wise to pack the rain gears when traveling to Taipei in August in case of rainy days.
 

 Some major outdoor attractions you could visit in Taipei in August include Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Elephant Hill Park and Longshan Temple. You’d better visit these destinations early in the morning. During the sweltering midday, spend the time in your hotel or an air-conditioned café. In the afternoon, you could go to explore some water parks to beat the severe heat. Around dusk, you could head out to Taipei’s night markets like Shilin Night Market to have shaved ices and other delicious snacks.

Double Seventh Festival, aka Chinese Valentine's Day, usually falls in August. There will be huge fireworks display at the Dadaocheng Pier this day, where you could enjoy kinds of food and interesting games.
