Kunming Weather in November

 

The climate in Kunming in November is much more pleasant than that of most cities in China. If hanging out in daytime, you have to wear some comfortable clothes such as cotton and linen shirts, cotton T-shirts, and casual clothes. In sunny afternoon, a thin hoody and a pair of jeans are OK, but you need to wear a wind coat or a overcoat to keep warm at night.Daytime temperature in this month is not very low, so outdoor activities are OK. Climbing a mountain is a good choice. Snake Mountain, resembling a stone python lying in the northern suburb of Kunming, attracts many mountaineering enthusiasts for its unique lava landscape. There are no trees on the mountain, only grass and fantastic rocks, so tourists can have a broad vision. On the top of the mountain, you will have a panoramic view of Kunming city and also can appreciate the beautiful sunset. If you don't want to climb a mountain, you can appreciate maple and ginkgo leaves at Yunnan University and Kunming Botanical Garden. There is a boulevard lined with maple and ginkgo trees in Kunming Botanical Garden, and it is romantic to take a walk with your lover in the shade.
 November is the dry season, so you should drink enough water, especially during outdoor activities. Even though the temperature decreases, ultraviolet rays are intensive, so skin protection is necessary. You can bring some skin care products with good moisturizing effect and high sun protection factor. To prevent the discomfort caused by altitude stress, you’d better take some medicines in advance. Relatively speaking, November is the off-season for tourism when transportation and accommodation costs are low, so it is good for traveling.
