Qingdao Shopping

Since Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city, products related to the sea are featured.
 Many goods await your exploration: seashell carving, seafood products, seashells, Laoshan mineral water, Laoshan Cola, Tsingtao beer and Korean products from the many shops and restaurants offering you a chance to explore Korean culture.
 If you intend to shop in Qingdao, try Zhongshan Road. With its bewitching night scene, big malls on Zhongshan Road such as Parkson Department Store deserve a visit.

With the rapid development of Taidong Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan Road is fading. Taidong Pedestrian Street provides visitors not only a broad shopping and entertainment area, but also a place in which to enjoy outdoor mural paintings. Great muralists from other parts of China create outstanding public art to lure visitors to Taidong Pedestrian Street. There´s also the Walmart Supercenter.

Zhongshan Road

Jimo Road Small Articles Wholesale Market has become the must-go place for tourists to buy souvenirs for friends and relatives. This market earns its fame for its approachable prices and good quality.

On Hong Kong middle Road are two big shopping centers, Jusco and Carrefour, recommended for local food, including dried seafood. Opposite the Carrefour is the Sunshine Department Store, the high-level shopping center in the city. Starbucks and Haagen-Dazs are also in the area. Behind Jusco, near the sailing center you will find Hisense Plaza, a high level shopping center includes LV, Prada and Gucci.

There´s also the newly opened Marina City Center, with H & M, Zara, Hush Puppies and many more well known brands. Restaurants with sea-view and an inline ice skating in the basement!

TESCO Supermarket is located on Renmin Lu (near Qingdao Theater). RT Mart on Ningxia Lu is a supermarket that offers fresh and inexpensive daily goods and a lot of stores and food places. Easily access with many buses.

Qingdao CBD Wanda Plaza is located between Xuzhou Road and Lianyugang Road in Yanji Road near the Municipal Library! The plaza covering 44,000 sqm is strategically located in the city's "New" Central Business District and includes fashion department stores, supermarkets, large-scale restaurants, a digital square, international cinema, KTV, fitness club, and a 1,500 square meter skating ring. The Leader Plaza is another shopping center with supermarket in the basement in the east of the city, near Haier Road and International Beer City area. Right next to it, Lottemart is large supermarket that offers a good food court. From there it's only 15 minutes to Shilaoren Beach, one of the largest sandbeachs of Qingdao. Bus: 382 from Qingdao University Station.

Whenever you shop, pay attention to the quality of the goods. Before making a purchase, compare the goods with those in other stores. In Qingdao, you will find it hard to bargain with local people. One reason is that the products are offered at low prices; the other is that Shandong people do not like to barter. A word of warning: don't take fresh seafood with you, as it is difficult to keep it fresh all day.
 

Products abound in Korean City, including clothes; there is a garden for leisure and a children's entertainment garden. All the facilities and goods here reflect the unique Korean culture.
