Xishuangbanna enjoys favorable weather in March. The temperature rises significantly, but you won’t feel very hot or any discomfort, and nights can be cool. The dry season means abundant sunshine hours and crisp air. The natural scene is wonderful, and wildlife is active. Plus, it is the shoulder travel season, highly recommended!

If you plan to explore the rainforest in the early morning, a windbreaker is needed. 

 Bottom Clothing: It’s OK to wear shorts or skirts during your daily trips. But rainforest hiking tours require light hiking pants, as you are likely to get bitten by insects. 

 Footwear: Breathable sneakers or comfortable sandals are both suitable. A rainforest hiking trip requires long rain boots, as there might be puddles along the hiking trail, some of which can reach up to your ankles.
