Red Theater Beijing

Located in Dongcheng District in Beijing, Red Theatre is featured with notable red color and is a must-go theater for visitors. Here, audiences can enjoy traditional Chinese operas such as Beijing Opera, Kunqu Opera, Pingju Opera and Cantonese Opera, as well as modern stage plays and concerts. Famous domestic and foreign artistic groups come to perform here every year. Among all kinds of performances, the acrobatic show is the most popular and breathtaking. 
 The excellent  'Heroes of Shu' is performed by Sichuan Acrobatic Troupe, an excellent troupe that has visited France, Germany, Japan, Norway and other countries many times and won many awards at home and abroad.

The performance gives acrobatic tricks like face-changing of Sichuan Opera, Giant Wheel of Death, Jiu-Jitsu, Top Bowl, Motorbike Globe, tightrope walking, juggling, Diabolo Play, Drum Play, High Chairs, trick-cycling by girls, hoops jumping and skipping, plate spinning and so on. Among them, the performance “Top Bowl” won the silver medal in the French stage fire international acrobatic festival competition and the Paris mayor's award, and the program “Jiu-Jitsu Modeling” won the “Excellent Acrobatic Culture Award” at the 6th National Acrobatic Competition of the Ministry of Culture. Different from the single showy performance in the past, Heroes of Shu blends drama, music and dance, bringing the audience the perfect and immersive audio-visual experience.

Performed by a large cast of talented men and women who start to learn acrobatics when they were very young, the shows reflect the combination of strength and beauty and require the tacit cooperation of actors and actresses. One amazing act after another of acrobatic feats, the amazing and enjoyable show will definitely bring out the 'oohs and ahhs' from the audience. After the show, audiences can take photos with the main performers.

 1. Take Subway Line 5 to Temple of Heaven East Gate, take Exit B and walk eastward  and turn left at the second crossroad, then walk for about 200 meters (219 yards), the theater is on your right.
2. Take Bus Line 6, 34, 35, 36, 41, 54, 60, 72, 116, 957 or 958 to Beijing Stadium. Walk eastwards for about 100 meters (109 yards) and turn left, then walk for about 100 meters, the theater is on your right.
