Lanzhou Rail Transit

Lanzhou rail transit is not available at present, only with line 1 and line 2 currently under construction. Rail transit line 1, which is planned to connect Chenguanying and Donggang, is scheduled to be opened by 2018. At that time, Lanzhou will be the second city in northwest China with subway system. Line 2, which will run between Yuantaizi and Yanbeilu, will be put into service in 2020. Both Mandarin and English will be used to announce the stops after the subway line is opened. According to the plan, Lanzhou metro will include 13 lines in total by 2025; of these, construction will soon commence on 3, line 4 and line 5.
 
 

Hereunder are Planned Metro Lines and Stations:

 Line 1: Chenguanying – Donggang
Full Length: 17 miles (27 kilometers)
Open Time: end of 2018

Stations: Chenguanying – Olympic Sports Center – Century Avenue – Yingmentan – Matan – Tumendun – West Railway Station – Dunhuang Road – Qilihe – Xiaoxihu – Wenhuagong (Cultural Palace) – Xiguan – Shengzhengfu (Provincial Government) – Dongfanghong Square – Panxuan Road – Wulipu – Yuchikou – Gongxingdun – Jiaojiawan – Donggang

 Line 2: Yuantaizi – Yanbeilu
Full Length: 20 miles (32 kilometers)

Main Stations: Railway Station, Yantanlu, Xingangcheng, Majiapu, Zhonghe, Shuifu, Xinqu, Zhongchuan Airport, Jingshisanlu
Note: In the future, a branch line will also be extended to Terminal 3 of Zhongchuan Airport.

Tram

Five tram lines are planned to be built in Lanzhou New District. Once completed, passengers can easily transfer between tram and subway, high speed train and city bus. Lanzhou tram lines will cover 90 miles (145 km) in total and 150 stations will be established. Construction of tram line 1 and line 2 will begin in 2017 and they will be put into service by 2019.

does the metro now run from Lanzhou airport to Lanzhou railway station?
HI, What time is the first and last metro ? Then, how can I get quickly from LZ Railway to the South Bus Station? Thank you

1. Not yet, but you can take Shuttle Bus Chengguan District Line from the airport to the railway station. It operates only if there are flights.

2. The Bus Line 11 can take you to the south Bus Station directly.

is Xiguan station near Gansu Agricultural University?

I only find Xiguan Shizi Station in Lanzhou City. If you do refer to that, it’s not near the university. You need to take bus 18 to Nongda Jiashuyuan within 30mins. Then, you will see the school.

Oh, yes, haiguan station is nearby, about 300m east to the school.
