Atomic Bomb Dome and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park at the site of atomic bombing center are the must-visits in Hiroshima. To escape from summer heat, Taishakukyo Gorge to the northeast of Hiroshima city is a great place to go, where one can also enjoy a karst gorge cruise. July is also the best time to have sun on beaches, and Hiroshima hosts some great beaches by Seto Inland Sea. Kenmin-no-hama Beach is the best-known one with colorful water sports, such as kayaking and surfing with Stand-Up-Paddleboard at sea. Okunoshima Island housing numerous rabbits is also a nice destination for a leisurely day in Hiroshima; intimating with and feeding rabbits are popular among kids.
 

Tips

1. Sun protection is necessary even on rainy days in July, for the ultraviolet rays are strong in summer. Remember to pack sunscreen. Also, be on the watch of local weather forecast to avoid unexpected rains.

2. There is no bunny food but grasslands for rabbits on Okunoshima Island. Ones who would like to feed rabbits need to take some from the mainland.
