Day 1 Beijing - Guilin
Take a flight to Guilin by yourself and the air tickets are on our arrangement. Upon your arrival, our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Meals: No meals, advice freely available
Day 2 Guilin - Yangshuo
Cruising on the Li River
Today you will take a memorable Li River cruise tour to Yangshuo. The 83-kilometer (52 miles) waterway from Guilin to Yanshuo is the masterpiece of the Li River scenery. Once arriving, you will first check in the hotel. Then we will transfer you to see the unique scenery of countryside. A local villager's home is somewhere on the way expecting your visit, so that you could experience the farmers' lifestyle there while appreciating the natural beauty of Yangshuo.

Tips: Here we would like to remind you the lunch on the cruise is not that good. It is the simple box lunch provided by the cruise company. We can only say it is edible but far from delicious. We suggest you have a big breakfast at the hotel this morning.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch
Day 3 Yangshuo
We intend to remain the whole day free for you to explore the charms of graceful Yangshuo. You could take a leisurely stroll along the famous West Street to discover the hundreds of years' history of this small town from the gray flagstone roads and the traditional low brick wooden houses. You can also experience the unique exotic flavor from the passing-by foreigners and the characteristic bars and restaurants. Communication here will not be a problem because even the local vendors speak fluent English. If you prefer natural landscape, you can also pay a visit to the Moon Hill and the Big Banyan Tree and see the beautiful scenery along the country road.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Day 4 Departure from Guilin
Local villagers' life
You will return to Guilin this morning and take a city tour to the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Located 5 kilometers (about 3 miles) from the city center, the Reed Flute Cave is a famous karst cave full of various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites. The Seven Star Park is the largest complex park in the City, which comprises a karst cave, natural landscape of hills and rivers, as well as the historical sites of ancient temples. You may have had a look at the Elephant Trunk Hill on the Li River Cruise. As the name indicates, the hill looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its long trunk. Afterwards, your private tour guide will see you off at the airport for your homebound flight. Wish you a nice trip home!

Meals: Western buffet breakfast

 Note: We are also glad to make arrangements for you in Beijing if you need. Your travel consultants will quote you the price for this part upon your requirements.

Is there any form of transportation from Dazhai (Longji rice terraces) to Yangshuo?

Don't worry. You can take the direct coach from Yangshuo Bus Station. As I know, the bus schedules are 08:30 and 13:00. The duration is 4 to 4.5 hours. It costs CNY 70 per person.

Li river tour Xingping to Yangdi - how much and where to board ?
Hi, I will take a train from Guilin to Yangshou. I understand that Yangshuo station is in Xingping village - right ?
If I take a boat tour between Xingping and Yangdi section - is this poosible ?
How much is the cost ?
Where to board the boat ?
Is it a joined boat or a private boat (I prefer the cheaper option) ?
For the view point to see the moutain on the 20 Y bank note - is this possible to see from the river bank ? Or from the boat ??

Yeah, your plan is doable. After getting to Yangshuo Station, you can take a taxi to Xingping Dock at a cost of CNY20 or so. I heard a bamboo raft there costs CNY200-300 for Yangdi. You can see the mountain of 20 Yuan bank note from the boat.

Options for cruise starting from Mopanshan Wharf?
We are tourists from the US who would like to jump on a cruise at Mopanshan Wharf. What are our options for the length and type of cruise we can take? We have two young kids who probably won't last longer than 1.5 hours (or maybe 2) on the boat. How long is the trip to Yangshou from this wharf? Could we get off at a town or village earlier and be able to find convenient transportation back? (We are perfectly fine riding local buses, assuming they don't take hours to go a few miles.)
Thank you for your assistance,

1. As I know, there are three types of the cruise from Mopanshan Wharf to Yangshuo.
Type 1: 3-star Cruise including western food;
This cruise departs at 09:30 and arrives at Longtoushan Wharf.
Type 2: 3-star Cruise including flavor food;
This one also departs at 09:30 and arrives at Longtoushan Wharf.
Type 3: 3-star Cruise including “In-flight” Meal;
It departs at 10:00 or 10:30 and arrives at Longtoushan Wharf.
2. It will take around 4-5 hours to Yangshuo from this wharf.
3. Well, you may be not allowed to get off the cruise earlier unless you arrive at the destination.
4. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, you can take a direct bus at Yangshuo Bus Station to GL.

Looking for a cheaper option to explore the Li River.
could you suggest any good bamboo boat ride providers with a transfer from Guilin? Or would you know of the best way to book a bamboo boat? Thank you :)

You are advised to take the cruise from Zhujiang Wharf. For your convenience, just join in a travel agency. I booked a tour from TravelChinaGuide.com before. Their nice service impresses me a lot. And the prices are reasonable. If interested, their contact information is traveltravelchinaguide.com.
