Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby at around 12:00. After all the group members are assembled, we will set out for this one-day Shanghai group tour to the Zhujiajiao Water Town first with a one hour's ride. We will stay at the town for around 2.5 hours to immerse in the peaceful atmosphere there. You will be encouraged to wander with your guide around the town along flagstone-paved lanes and admire traditional grey-tiled residences by the water.

After that, we will return to the downtown area to visit the Bund. En route, we will take a stop at a silk museum for around 30 minutes to view exquisite silk fabrics. You can also buy some products there as souvenirs. Upon arrival at the Bund Area, you will take an accompanied Huangpu River cruise to appreciate the dazzling night scenes of the Bund and Lujiazui Financial Zone on the two sides. A Chinese dinner is included. The whole day's Shanghai group tour will end at around 20:00 and then you will be transferred back to your hotel.
  Having seen enough of modern skyscrapers in Shanghai, a visit to the Zhujiajiao Water Town can definitely drag you back to the quiet life of old times. Residences in the town still remain their original look during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911) with white walls and grey-tiled roofs as well as red lanterns hung under the eaves. While roaming about, you will come across bridges of various scales and styles from time to time including the longest and largest arched bridge throughout Shanghai. Besides, you will also be led to tour around some traditional buildings to appreciate the exquisite carvings and statues inside. Taking a cruise is an accepted way to better enjoy the Huangpu River and landscapes nearby, especially at night when the riverside buildings are brightly lit, giving neat reflections on the water. During the journey, you can discover that the Huangpu River is like the boundary between the past and present of Shanghai City. On its western bank is the Bund Area, also called the World Expo of Architecture, housing 52 exotic buildings in various architectural styles. Lujiazui Financial Zone on the opposite presents a totally different scene with several novel high-rise buildings pointing into the sky, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Shanghai Tower.
