Ordos Grassland
Tourists are always fascinated by the mystique of the stunning grasslands, the Gobi desert in Ordos Plateau & Desert Park and precious Relict Gull in World Precious Garden in this 2-day route in Ordos.
On the first day, visit the World Precious Garden. This garden is divided into 3 parts: Ordos Relict Gull Nature Reserve, Mongolian Ethnic cultural area, and Desert sand Ravine. It is located in Bojiang Town, Dongsheng District, and 45 kilometers from downtown area. You will find rare species – Relict Gull. This species is listed as Vulnerable because it has a small and fluctuating population, breeding at a very small number of wetland locations in arid regions that could be strongly influenced by changes in climate. According to present information, Relict Gulls in World Precious Garden is the largest complex. If you want to see this valuable gull, it is suggested that you travel to Inner Mongolia in March or April.

If time permits, Ordos Grassland Tourist Area is an optional choice for those who are interested in the grassland culture. This grassland is organized in a distinguished structure with salient feature. The whole scenic area is divided according to different functions. Tourists rejoice in the section for singing & dancing performances performed by the ethnic and local people. Tourists feast in the catering & entertaining section. Tourists have a good rest in the lodging & resting section and appreciate the infinite grassland scenery from a yurt. Tourists can experience the excitement of riding a galloping horse on the grassland in the horse riding & archery performing section. On the second day, it is suggested that you visit Ordos Plateau & Desert Park, which is renowned as a stunning "Desert Cultural Museum". Highlights are the extremely large singing sand ravine, Holy Lake Park, fishing village and numerous dotted lakes amidst the desert. The soil of the Ordos is a mixture of clay and sand and, as a result, is poorly suited for agriculture. However, you can still find some montane grass and shrubs there.
For transportation, you can drive from Hangjing Banner, and proceed to Ordos Plateau & Desert Park by driving in the direction of Duguitala Town and Wulate Front Banner. If you want to take a regular bus, you can get on one from Hangjing Banner to Duguitala. Ordos Plateau & Desert Park is located in Kubuqi Desert, Bayin Wusu Town, Hangqi Banner.

Important note: Inner Mongolia has extreme weather. The difference in temperature between day and night is dramatic. Warm clothing is necessary when you visit this region. It is also one of the driest areas in China. Remember to keep hydrated and carry moisturizing lotion to protect your skin.
