Dalian Metro Line 13

Dalian Metro Line 13, about 43.15 km (26.8 miles) long with 11 stations, runs roughly north–south, from Jiuli Station in the south to Pulandian Zhenxing Street Station in the north. 

The line is built mainly for facilitating residents in Dalian's northeast suburban area, including Dalian Free Trade Zone, Puwan Economic Zone, Shihe Subdistrict, and Pulandian Economic Development Zone. 

A full trip from Jiuli to Pulandian Zhenxing Street takes about 58 minutes and costs CNY 7. Trains run every 20 to 30 minutes.

  Jiuli: Transfer with Line 3 branch

 Notes: 
1. Some trains on the Line 13 run through to Line 3 branch, while others terminate at Jiuli:
 Pulandian Zhenxing Street → Line 3 branch terminal Kaifaqu: Through-service trains operate, so there is no need to get off for transfer midway.
 Kaifaqu → Pulandian Zhenxing Street: Trains are either section trains or through-service trains. On a section train, passengers need to get off and transfer at Jiuli. Check the platform display and announcement to confirm the information.

2. According to current planning, there will be 8 to 11 additional stations, with new transfers to Line 1, Line 2, Line 3 and Line 5 at Dalian North Railway Station, Houyan and other stations, making it more useful for travelers once completed.
 Jiuli is where passengers can transfer to Line 3 branch and continue to Kaifaqu Station, the interchange with the Line 3 main line. From Kaifaqu, Line 3 main line takes one directly to Dalian Railway Station or Jinshitan Scenic Area, and at Houyan can transfer to Line 5 to Spearfish Bay and Qingniwa Bridge commercial area.
 This is the closest metro station to Jinpu high-speed railway station, from which one can take high-speed trains to Beijing, Harbin, Shenyang and other cities. However, the high-speed railway station is separated from the metro station by an expressway, and there is no direct walkway between. The easiest way to get there is by taxi, which takes about 8 to 10 minutes. 

Since Shihe Huangqi is quite remote from city center and Line 13 runs infrequently, if you want to take a high-speed train from or to Dalian, double-check the departure/arrival station when buying ticket, and better choose Dalian Railway Station or Dalian North Railway Station, both closer to the downtown and far easier to be reached by metro.

 The station is near Puwan Stadium, which has hosted the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers and the 2022 Chinese Super League season. After recent facility upgrades, the venue is set to stage more international matches in the coming years. If you come for a match or concert, getting off here is the easiest option.
