Houguan - Hutan New District
Dalian Metro Line 5 stretches about 24.5 kilometers (15.2 miles) and connects Houguan in the north with Hutan New District in the south via 18 stations, including Dalian Railway Station, Qingniwa Bridge, Spearfish Bay South, Hutan Park and Hutan New District.
A single trip end-to-end takes about 40 minutes and costs CNY 5. The busiest section is Hutan New District to Qingniwa Bridge, seven stops, taking about 19 minutes and CNY 3. The other heavily used hop is Dalian Railway Station to Spearfish Bay South, one stop through the undersea tunnel in about 3 minutes for CNY 2.

Spearfish Bay South
The station sits by the Diamond Bay waterfront, directly serving the sea-encircled Dalian Spearfish Bay Football Stadium, often called the most scenic stadium in the Chinese Super League, and Diamond Bay World Coastal Park offering bay views and a modern leisure area close by.
What's outside:
Tip: Exit C is the Dalian Spearfish Football Stadium's dedicated ticketing and security entrance. If you're here for a match, head straight there and allow 30–40 minutes for the queue. If not, go to other exits instead.
Hutan New District
This is the southern terminus of Dalian Metro Line 5. The station design picks up wave and sail motifs, and it puts you within easy walking distance of a working fishing harbor with colorful European-style buildings, seafood cafés, and sea-gull spotting.

Hutan Park Station
The station is named after the park and carries a blue, ocean-themed interior that makes passengers feel like staying under the sea. From here it’s a short walk to aquariums, polar-animal exhibits, coral and bird pavilions, plus the nearby seafood restaurants.

Qingniwa Bridge Station
This station drops passengers into Dalian's classic Qingniwa Bridge commercial district, featuring restaurants, food stalls, and old-town atmosphere. It is also a smart base for overnight stays, where several mid-range and business hotels cluster around the station exits. Passengers can also transfer to Line 2 here, which extends to Xinghai Square, Donggang, and Dalian International Airport.
