Dalian Metro Line 2

Dalian Metro Line 2 covers a distance of approximately 37.3 kilometers (23 miles) and serves 29 stations, running between Dalian North Railway Station and Haizhiyun. It connects key transportation hubs, commercial areas and seaside attractions of the city, including Zhoushuizi International Airport,  Dalian North Railway Station, Xi'an Road, Zhongshan Square, Qingniwa Bridge and Haizhiyun Park. A full end-to-end trip takes around 53 minutes.

 The fare varies from the distance. For different trips, the cost can be CNY2, CNY3, CNY4 and CNY5.
  Xi'an Road & Dalian North Railway Station: Transfer to line 1
Qingniwa Bridge: Transfer to line 5  

Line 2 directly connects Dalian North Railway Station and Airport. This provides a convenient transfer for passengers changing from a flight to a high speed train or vice versa, at only CNY4 and in as short as 25 minutes.

If you have 3–6 hours to stay in Dalian, instead of sitting in a lounge, it's advised to ride Line 2 east to its coastal station including Conference Center Station and Donggang Station for Dalian shoreline tour.
 Dalian is renowned for its coastal sights. Three Line 2 stations offer the most iconic shoreline experiences of the city.
 Exiting at Conference Center Station, and just walk steps away, you'll reach Donggang Musical Fountain Square. It is the second‑largest musical fountain plaza in China, featured by its outline shaped like a seagull in flight when viewed from above. In summer evenings the water, colored lights, and music sync into a spectacular performance. Sit at the waterfront promenade, you can feel the Yellow Sea breeze while looking back at the city's glass towers.

 Exit C→ Donggang Musical Fountain Square, 3-min walk
 Donggang Station is near Gangdong Fifth Street. Thanks to a unique slope here, you can stand at the higher end and watch massive cargo ships and cruise liners gliding between the skyscrapers, seemingly sailing through the city itself. A few minutes walking  further brings you to the largest artificial canal district in Northeast China, the Oriental Water City, where seawater is channeled through winding waterways flanked by over 200 European‑style buildings.

 Exit B2→ Gangdong Fifth Street, 13-min walk; Oriental Water City, 5-min walk further
 Ride Line 2 all the way to its endpoint, Haizhiyun Station, and you step straight into Dalian's raw coastal area at Haizhiyun Park, a free seaside park with over 1.2km-long coastline wrapped around a forested headland. The park features a winding roadway lined with enormous marine‑life sculptures half‑embedded in the cliffs, a pebble cove, and a coastal wooden boardwalk.

 Exit C → Haizhiyun Park, 8-min walk, opens from 10:00–18:00 daily.
 Xi'an Road, just outside this station, is Dalian's busiest shopping spot. The area boasts a dense retail cluster including Roosevelt Mall, Centenary City, Parkson, and Hoteln where you'll find both international fast fashion and Chinese youth brands. Also, there are over 200 vendors and old shops, where you can enjoy the locals' favorites like grilled cold noodles and Dalian Menzi (a crispy pie made of sweet potato starch and meat).

 Exit B2 – Roosevelt Mall, 1–2-min walk via indoor passage; Centenary City / Central Avenue Wuyue Plaza, 6-min walk  — grilled cold noodles, Dalian menzi, skewers
 Exit A / B1 – Jinhui Shopping Plaza; Exit A across Xian Road east side, 3-min walk to street stalls on Changxing Street
 Youhao Square Station is where to find Dalian's everyday food within a short walk:

 Exit A → Zhongyuan Snack Street / Dalian Old Street, 5-min walk — menzi, grilled squid, pancake.
 Exit C → Dalian Department Store & Dashang New Mart, 5-min walk — braised seafood, dried squid/fish, local snacks.
 Qingniwa Bridge Station lies in Dalian's commercial center. The station exits drop you into various malls and food streets:

 Exit C / E→ Parkson, Macy's Dalian Dashang New Mart & Dalian Department Store food street, Intime City.
 10–13-min walk to north → Tianjin Street Pedestrian Mall & Dalian Old Street for menzi, BBQ skewers, seafood hotpot.
 This station is located at Zhongshan Square, a circular plaza ringed by ten landmark buildings constructed mostly in the early 1900s, collectively showcasing Gothic spires, Baroque ornamentation, Romanesque arches, Classical Western façades, and Eclectic compositions, a concentration of historical architecture styles rarely seen in one place in China.

 Exit D → Zhongshan Square, 3‑minute walk
 Sports Center Station is just adjacent to Dalian Sports Center Stadium, the city's primary venue for large‑scale concerts, football matches, and major performances. If your travel is for a specific event, this station becomes your direct destination.
