Pingyao is not just the Ancient City, since there are many destinations for you to choose from. You may visit either Qiao Family Compound or Wang Family Compound. They are both exemplary of traditional northern folk residences in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) showing very delicate architectural designs and artworks.
