Tianjin metro is serving the locals and tourists with six lines which include line 1, line 2, line 3, line 5, line 6, and line 9. Passengers can transfer among these lines to achieve easy access. These metro lines pass some major passenger transport hubs or hot attractions, such as Tianjin Railway Station, Binhai International Airport, Tianjin Zoo, Water Park and Porcelain House. 
 

 Line 1 (northwest - southeast)
Length: 26 kilometers (16 miles)
Route: Liuyuan – Xihengdi – Guojiu Factory– Benxi Road – Qinjian Road – Honghuli – West Railway Station – Xibeijiao – Xi'nanjiao – Erwei Road – Haiguang Temple – Anshan Road – Yingkou Road – Small White Building –  Xiawafang – Nanlou – Tucheng – Chentangzhuang – Fuxing Gate – Huashanli – University of Finance & Economics
 Note: Its east extension connecting Shuanglin and Shuangqiaohe, will open within 2018.


 Line 2 (west - east)
Route: Caozhuang – Bianxing – West Jieyuan Road – Xianyang Road – Changhong Park– Guangkai Forth Road– Southwest Corner – Drum Tower – Southeast Corner – Jianguo Road – Railway Station – Sino-Ocean International Center – Shunchi Bridge – Jingjiang Road – Cuifu Xincun – Yudongcheng – Dengzhou Road – Guoshan Road – Airport Economic Area - Binhai International Airport
 

 Line 3 (north - southwest)

 Line 9 (Light Rail)

The subway fare is distance-based and varies from CNY 2 to 5 RMB. CNY 2 is charged for 1 to 5 stops, CNY 3 for 6 to 10 stops, CNY 4 for 10 to 16 stops, and CNY 5 for 17 or more stops.

 Tips:
1. Tickets of the subway or light rail can be purchased from both of the manual ticket windows and the self-service vender machines at every station.
2. One ticket is valid within three hours. Once one ticket is used, passengers need to leave the subway system within three hours.
3. 10 % discount can be enjoyed for passengers with the City Card.
4. One child below 1.1 meters high can be taken for free by one adult. If there is more than one child, other children need to buy the tickets.
5. Luggage under 20kg and 0.06 cubic meters could be taken for free. Tickets should be bought if the luggage weighs 20 to 30kg or is 0.06 to 0.15 cubic meters. Luggage over 30kg or larger than 0.15 cubic meters cannot be taken on the trains if not get permitted.
