New Bullet Trains Will Open on July 1, 2014

The Chinese railway will apply a new train diagram from July 1, 2014. 60 more routes will be put into service and 53 are bullet trains, including the following routes:

D628, Chengdu – Shanghai (07:41 – 23:56), stops at Chongqing, Enshi, Yichang, Jingzhou, Wuhan, Hefei, Nanjing and Suzhou; the 20 hour journey will be shortened to 15 hours.

D2222, Hangzhou – Chengdu (07:35 – 22:51), with major stops at Nanjing, Hefei, Hankou, Yichang, Enshi and Chongqing, the journey will be shortened to 15 hours 20 minutes from 33 hours.

D2242, Fuzhou – Chengdu (07:00 – 22:14), the 41.5 hour journey will be greatly shortened to 15 hours and 12 minutes, and the major stops are Nanchang, Wuhan, Jingzhou, Yichang, Enshi and Chongqing.

G165, Beijing – Xiamen (08:45 – 21:30), the journey lasts 12 hours and 45 minutes and stops at Tianjin, Jinan, Qufu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Fuzhou and Quanzhou.

More trains will be put into operation along the Beijing – Shanghai and Beijing to Guangzhou high-speed railways from July 1. Moreover, the high-speed train from Xian to Taiyuan is expected to put into service in July. The 10 hour journey will be shortened to 3 hours and visitors will be able to reach Pingyao Old City from Xian within 2 hours. What's more, the construction of Lanzhou - Urumqi high-speed rail comes to the end, and is expected to put into service by the end of 2014, which will shorten the 20 hour journey to 8 hours.

    Guangzhou to Ningbo
    Is there any bullet train available for Guangzhou~Ningbo?

    no, there isn't. only one overnight train K210 is available from Guangzhou to Ningbo.

    Shanghai to Yichang bullet train
    Can I travel from

    Shanghai to Yichang
    or
    Suzhou to Yichang

    on the 17th Aug 2014, by the new bullet train. Please let me know the departure time from Shanghai/Suzhou and arrival time in Yichang and the duration of the journey and the ticket price.

    there are five D trains from Shanghai Hongqiao to Yichang North, and all pass Suzhou.
    D626 leaves shanghai at 06:00 and arrives Yichang at 13:41.
    D2206: 06:36 - 14:55
    D3072: 06:42 - 15:04
    D2216: 08:43 - 16:57
    D3006: 15:53 - 21:49

    it costs CNY 344 for second class seat and CNY449 for first class seat.

    How do we book tickets for the new bullet train which starts running on July 1st for 3rd October
    train D628, Chengdu – Shanghai (07:41 – 23:56), departing Yichang to Shanghai? How much will this be please?

    the ticket for the train is available 20 days in advance as other trains. So the tickets for 3rd Octorber can be booked on 14th September. If you plan to book with ticket agent like this website, you can make the reservation now and the agent will purchase the ticket for you as soon as it is put on sale.
