How to Travel from Singapore to Haikou

The distance between Singapore and Haikou is about 2,220 kilometers (1,370 miles). Since there are no direct flights or other modes of transportation, tourists need to make a transfer. Shenzhen and Guangzhou are recommended transit places.

From Singapore to Shenzhen, visitors can only take SQ846 which departs from Singapore Changi Airport at 07:25 every Sunday. About 4 hours later, the flight will arrive at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. There about 10 flights to Haikou from Shenzhen in the afternoon and the duration is about 1 hour. All together the Singapore to Haikou flight time by this way is about 8 hours and the ticket for Economy Class costs CNY3,250-4,834 in total.

How to Travel Back from Haikou to Singapore

Because no direct Haikou to Singapore flights and other transport means are scheduled, it is necessary to have a layover on the way. The recommended layover airports are Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. The Baiyun Airport serves CZ309 taking off at 10:40 on Tuesday and TR101 on Sunday to Singapore while the Bao’an Airport operates SQ847 departing at 14:20 on Sunday to Singapore. It takes about 1 hour and CNY600-1,720 from Haikou to Guangzhou/Shenzhen by direct flight. The second half of the journey spends about 4 hours and CNY3,306-5,317 in total.

I'm Singaporean plan to visit Haikou about 1 week. Do I need to apply visa if I need to visit Sanya (三亞市), 文昌市
東方市 or all city within Haikou Island?

May I know still need to register with the local travel agency 48 hours before departing SIN?

As I know, Singaporean passport holders are allowed to visit China for at most 15-day visa-free.
