Haikou Train Schedule

Currently, there are two train stations in Haikou, Haikou Railway Station and East Railway Station.

Haikou Railway Station

Located on the Yuehai Avenue in Xiuying District, Haikou Railway Station not only operates bullet trains to/from Sanya, but also operates normal speed trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Changsha, Sanya etc.

Haikou East Railway Station

East Railway Station, located on Yiheng Street of Dingcun Village in Longhua District, mainly operates high speed trains circling Hainan Island, including those to/from Sanya, Meilan Airport, Wenchang, Qionghai, Boao, Wanning, and Lingshui.

These high speed trains run along east and west two different high speed railways, one longer and one shorter, leading to different durations and ticket prices. Passengers are advised to click the arrival stations to choose one running along the shorter high speed railway at lower ticket price.

What happened to the trains of Haikou - Sanya?

I have taken train between Haikou and Sanya earlier, I know there are a lot of trains, but I search from your website, I only found two trains.

Is it walking distance from the airport to Meilan train station?

If you are landing at the terminal for domestic flights, it is walking distance. You can walk the Gate 2 on departure floor and GTC passenger to reach the railway station. If you are landing by international flight, it is not walking distance. You may use the shuttle bus to domestic terminal first and then to there. In this case, it would be better if you prepare at least 30min on the way for transfer.

These trains are under adjustment at this moment, so cannot find them online now. You may need to wait some more days!

I want to do a round island trip between Haikou and Sanya.

How can I know which train runs on the East coast and which on West coast?

You can recognize it from the stopover stations. On East coast there are stations including Meilan, Wenchang, Qionghai, Boao, Wanning, Shenzhou, Lingshui, Yalongwan and Sanya. For other stations, they will be on the West coast. You can also tell from the ticket price. For second class seat, the ticket price is CNY100.5 if it runs on East coast and around CNY120 on West coast.
