Haikou - Sanya Train

Around 170 and more pairs of high speed trains are operated daily to serve passengers travelling from Haikou to Sanya or from Sanya to Haikou presently. The bullet trains travel along two different high speed rail lines, resulting in different durations and ticket fares. It is recommended for passengers to take the trains with shorter duration and lower ticket fares. A single trip for these trains takes around 1.5 - 3 hours and the ticket fare is around CNY 100-128 for a second class seat.

In addition, there are two normal trains running between Sanya Railway Station and Haikou Railway Station. It takes around 3 - 4 hours to finish a running length of around 375 kilometers (233 miles) and a ride on a hard sleeper costs around CNY155.5.

Haikou - Sanya High Speed Train

West loop train from Sanya to Haikou

How do I check/book the West loop train as the schedule only show the East loop train. Thanks

In fact, all trains with a duration of over 2 hours are west loop train and you can easily find many.

Can I take the high speed train directly from Haikou international airport to Sanya?

Im an international traveler.
Do I choose Haikou station or Haikou East station in the train schedule?

Or must I take transport from the airport to Haikou East railway station to catch the high speed train to Sanya?

Yes, you can take a train from airport directly, the station is called "Meilan" Station instead. You can book a ticket from Meilan to Sanya.

Hi, do I need to pre-buy the ticket or I can just buy from counter upon arrival?

Usually there are many trains a day from Meilan station to Sanya. If you are flexible with your arrival time in Sanya, it is Ok to get ticket at counter upon arrival.

Can we bring bicycle on the train ?

We are planing go Hainan for cycling, we are bring our bicycle together. We will fly in Hainan to Haikou and take a train to Sanya by train. So the train from Haikou to Sanya can bring bicycle on to the train ?

I read that you cannot take bicycle on the train, so maybe you need to use a consignment service or an express company.

They are the same station, you do not need to worry about it. Trains in Hainan island run in a circle, so the names are only used to distinguish it as beginning station or final arrival station. Although the names are different, they are the same station.
