Hengshan West Railway Station

Hengshan West Railway Station is the closest high speed railway station to Mt. Hengshan, with a distance of only 8 kilometers (5 miles) between. It has high speed trains to/from Guangzhou, Changsha, Shenzhen, Wuhan and etc.

It is about 55 kilometers (35 miles) between the station and downtown Hengyang. If a passenger wants to travel to Hengyang city by high speed train, it is more advisable to use the closer Hengyang East Railway Station.

Hengyang West Train Station looks like two flying eagles, representing Hengshan County flying to its bright future. The station building also resembles the Chinese character “山”, symbolizing the towering Mt. Hengshan not far away.
 
The train station has 10 ticketing windows. In the waiting room, there are 6 ticket check channels, five of which are for blue magnetic ticket check while the other one is for pink paper ticket check. In front of the station building, there is a big square.
 Passengers can get to Mt. Hengshan by bus directly, which departs from early morning to 18:00 in the front square of Hengshan West Train Station. The ticket fare is CNY 5 and it takes about 20 minutes to get there.

Passengers can also get to Mt. Hengshan by taxi. Passengers need to tell the taxi driver that you want to go to “Nanyue” instead of “Hengshan”; otherwise, they may take you to Hengshan County.
 1. Passengers can take high speed train to Hengyang East Railway Station first, then take city bus 203 to get to the airport. It may take about one hour and 20 minutes to get there.

2. Passengers can take bus to Mt. Hengshan first, then take airport bus to get to the airport. The airport bus departs at 7:10, 8:10, 9:10 and 11:30. The ticket fare is about CNY 30 and the duration is about one hour and 30 minutes.
