Jishou East Railway Station
Located in the southeast of Jishou, Jishou East Railway Station is about 5 km from the downtown area. It is about 26 kilometers (16 miles) from Fenghuang Ancient Town, only taking about 10 minutes by high speed train; and about 8 kilometers (5 miles) away from Qianzhou Ancient Town. It mainly operates trains to/from Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Huaihua, Nanning, etc.
19 kilometers (12 miles) away from Jishou East Station is Jishou North Bus Station, which operates coaches to nearby cities and tourism attractions, including Fenghuang Ancient Town.

How to get to Jishou East Train Station from downtown area:
Passengers can take any of the following buses to Jishou East Railway Station: lines 22, 21, 23, 16, and 17.
Alternatively, visitors can also take a cab or order a ride-hailing car.
How to Get to Fenghuang Ancient Town from Jishou East Railway Station:
STEP 1: Jishou East Railway Station → Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station
There are over 20 pairs of high-speed trains between these two stations, which take about CNY 8 - 14 (US$ 1 -2), with a travel time of 10 minutes.
STEP 2: Fenghuanggucheng Station → Fenghuang Ancient Town
1. There are shuttle buses to Fenghuang Ancient Town at the exit of the high-speed rail station, and you can find them by following the signals. The fare is CNY 7 (US$ 1) per person. The shuttle buses are divided into line 1 and line 2, both of which terminate at Fenghuang Ancient Town. Buses depart as soon as they are full. During the off-season, you may need to wait 10-15 minutes.
2. Travelers can also choose to take a taxi, which costs approximately CNY 27 ( US$ 3) to the entrance of the attraction.
3. Maglev trains are also available, but we don't recommend them, as the station is still a distance from the scenic area entrance, requiring a taxi ride.
How to get to Qianzhou Ancient Town:
1. Take the tourist bus No. 18, and you can arrive at the entrance of the attraction after a 25-minute ride. It costs CNY 3 (US$ 0.5) per person. But note that it runs less frequently, with departures at 8:30, 12:00, and 15:30.
2. Take the bus No.22: the schedules are more frequent and the fare ticket is CNY 2 (US$ 0.5). The bus operates from 6:30 to 22:40.
3. Take a taxi at a cost of about CNY 25 (US$ 4) for about 20 minutes.
Jishou Railway Station
Jishou Railway Station is close to the city center, only 3 km (2 miles) away. However, it is rarely used anymore. There is only one pair of regular trains stoppping here nowadays: 7266/7265 running between Zhangjiajie and Huaihua.
