The paper-thin skin of Tuckahoe Pie is made of starch and the stuffing is a mixture of honey, white sugar, Tuckahoe powder and kernels of all kinds. There are many workshops making Tuckahoe Pie and Daoxiangchun with a history over 60 years is the best of all. Chain shops selling it are scattered around the city.

Crisp Candy, a welcomed Beijing souvenir food, is known as one of the best three candies of China, together with Shanghai Toffee and Guangzhou Fruit Drops. It is made of high quality sugar and sesame paste and tastes crisp, fragrant and sweet. Red Lobster Crisp Candy, formed in lobster shape, is the best one and it has gained high reputation at home and aboard.
 

Lienhua Paichiew (Lotus Liquor)

Chinese name: 莲花白酒(lián huā bái jǐu)
As one of the best Beijing souvenir food, Lienhua Paichiew is one of the best wines in this city with a history over 400 years. As a tonic wine, the alcoholicity is below 40 percent.

To taste Beijing local products, you can't miss Lv Da Gun! It's also known as bean flour cake, is one of the oldest snacks here. When making Lv Da Gun, firstly, make little dough with soybean flour and roll the dough up with sweetened bean paste inside. Then trundle it in soybean dust at last. That is the reason why it gets a strange name 'rolling the donkey' in Chinese. The cake is yellow with dense soybean flavor and is featured by fragrant, sweet and glutinous.
 

Wangzhihe Smelly Beancurd

Chinese name: 王致和臭豆腐(wáng zhì hé chòu dòu fu)
Don't be frightened by its name! The bean curd is a delicious Beijing souvenir food made from soybean with a series of fermenting and bloating. It smells really stinking but tastes extremely good with special flavor. It is said that the bean curd had gain highly praise by Queen Mother Ci Xi and was given a name 'Qing Fang' by her.

i am staying at ramada north and need to go to Wangfujing on local train how do i get there?
taxis are scarce in the area. pl advice how do i get there and how much time and cost it involves?

For this journey by public transportation, you have to use bus + metro. Walk from the hotel to Erbazi bus stop and take bus Yuntong Line 117. Get off at Lishuiqiao South metro station. Then transfer to line 5 to Dongsi Station. Leave from exit E and walk westwards for 250-300yd to the street. For the whole way, it takes around 50min and costs no more than CNY10.

Yes, it is. The Jingkelong and Shiji Lianhua Supermarkets are within 5-10min walking distance. Besides, the large shopping malls like Aeon and BHG Mall are fince choices. Both of them are around 2km away.

Please tell me the place to shop for fruits in Beijing, maybe the street name.
Also, besides wangfujing, dongchengmeng, silk market, hongqiao and xidan market to name a few, where else can i go shopping

You can go to Tiantianle Fruit Wholesale Market, located at Mingguangsi Market, Sidaokou, South Xueyuan Road. Haidian District.

Apart from these shopping places you mentioned, you can also go to Qianmen Street, Dashilar, Xinjiekou.
