Nanjing Metro Line 5, a completely underground line with a length of 37.4 kilometers (23.2 miles), connects Jiangning, Qinhuai and Gulou District. Passing by popular places like Confucius Temple, Wutaishan Sports Center and Nanjing West Railway Station, it has 30 stations and a maximum speed of 80 km/h (49.7 mile/h). The south section is from Wenjing Road to Jiyin Avenue and the north section from Fangjiaying to Wenjing Road which is still under construction.
