i see there is now a train station that connects Chengdu and Langzhong.
Where is the train station located and how far from the old town? Is it by bus or taxi?

Answered by Vivian from USA | Aug. 05, 2016 01:26

Yes, you can take a bullet train to LZ from Chengdu East Railway Station (about 2.5 hours). The LZ Railway Station is located on Road S302, about 3 miles (5km) from the ancient city. You can take bus line 5 or 10 to get there. If by taxi, the fare may be around CNY 15. :)

Well, the distance is about 174 miles (280 km). The taxi fare might be CNY 1,000 or more. You are advised to take a train to LZ from Chengdu Railway Station. The trains depart at 7:15 and 16:11, and the trip takes about 4 to 4.5 hours. Because it is during peak season, you may book the train ticket in advance through TravelChinaGuide. You can contact them through

If it is too far away for you, you may visit the attractions in downtown Chengdu. Or, you can go on a day trp to Emei Mountain, or Leshan Giant Buddha. :)

Thanks a lot Lewis.
We'll do both on our 6 days in chengdu and buy tickets in advance.
