Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Airport pick-up & airport-hotel transfer.
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), you will meet our professional guide outside the customs. After a warm greeting, you will be escorted to check in at the hotel. For the rest of the day, we will leave it for you to explore the city freely.

Day 2 Beijing
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, A la carte lunch, Temple of Heaven, Kung Fu Show. (B+L)
Having fun at Badaling Great Wall
In the morning, you will be guided to the well-known Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. Located in the center of Beijing, Tian'anmen Square is distinguished as the biggest city square around the world with the famous Monument to the People's Heroes standing solemnly in its center. The Forbidden City, also called the Palace Museum, is a best preserved and the largest old wooden architecture in the world, collecting a large number of precious cultural relics. Then, we will arrange you an a la carte lunch at a wonderful restaurant to taste the authentic Chinese food. The lunch values CNY150.00 per person and is included in our price.

In the afternoon, our guide will take you to the Temple of Heaven. It was a place for emperors to pray for God's kindness in ancient times and includes two altars called Circular Mound and Prayer for Good Harvests respectively. After that, our guide will lead you to the Red Theatre to enjoy the excellent Chinese Kung Fu Show. You will have a better understanding about the Chinese traditional martial arts from the lively show.

Day 3 Beijing
Badaling Great Wall, Sacred Way, Bird's Nest (drive by). (B)
Our group at the Forbidden City
We will begin today's China small group tour with the Badaling Great Wall. With an altitude of 1,015-meter (3,330-feet), it can provide you a great scene of the Great Wall going up and down along the mountain ranges and stretching to the distance. We also provide you red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall to commemorate this moment. Then we will drop by a jade factory. Lunch is not arranged by us. You can have some fast food by yourself, and our experienced guide will be glad to recommend some restaurants for you.

In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to the Sacred Way of about 7 kilometers (4 miles) long. There are many fine statues and stone carvings along the way. On the way back to the hotel, we will pass by the National Stadium, also called Bird's Nest, and you can have a glimpse of its grand appearance. Today's Beijing tour will come to an end at this point.

Day 4 Beijing - Xian
Summer Palace, A la carte lunch, Hutong visit. Fly to Xian. Airport-hotel transfer. (B+L)
Terracotta Warriors
After breakfast, you will be led to the splendid Summer Palace. It is a well-preserved royal garden mainly composed of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. Then, the guide will take you to a pearl store for a brief visit. About noon we will transfer you to a fancy restaurant to enjoy an a la carte lunch, which is valued about CNY150.00 per person and is included in our price.

In the afternoon, you will be arranged to take a local rickshaw to explore the famous Hutong alleys surrounded by old courtyards built of gray bricks. You can take a look at the original lifestyle of the local families during the trip.

After getting out of the Hutong alleys, our guide and driver will take you to the airport for your onward flight to Xian. Upon arrival, you will meet the guide of the coming Xian tour and then take a comfortable ride to your hotel to check in.

Day 5 Xian
Terracotta Warriors, A local family visit, Home-cooked lunch, Xian Museum and Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Show with dumpling dinner. (B+L+D)
Learning cooking at a local family
Your Xian tour today will start with the Terracotta Army Museum. You will see a great number of life-like terracotta warriors and horses and have a better understanding of the history of the Qin Dynasty (221 - 207 BC). Then, the guide will accompany you to a pottery-making factory to see the manufacturing process of the pottery figures. After that, you will be treated with an a la carte lunch at a local family to enjoy the authentic home-cooked food.

In the afternoon, we will guide you to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which stands quietly in the Jianfu Temple built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). We will then go to the other spot inside the temple, Xian Museum. In order to let you spend a memorable evening, we will arrange you a wonderful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while partaking of the delicious Dumpling Dinner.

Tips: The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be closed in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, so fare of the show and the dumpling dinner is not counted in the price for tours during this period, and clients will be free then to spend the night by themselves.

Day 6 Xian
City Wall, Provincial History Museum, A la carte lunch, Great Mosque, Free time at the Muslim Bazzar. (B+L)

Today's Xian small group tour will start with the City Wall, which is the most complete ancient wall in China with 1,400 years of history. After that, the guide will escort you to Shaanxi History Museum. It is a palace of art including exquisite bronze wares of Shang and Zhou dynasties (17th century BC - 256 BC), vivid pottery figurines, unique gold and silver wares of Han (202 BC - 220 AD) and Tang dynasties, as well as fancy murals in Tang tombs. Getting out of the museum, you will have an a la carte lunch at a good restaurant. The lunch is valued at CNY120.00 per person and is included in our price.

We will then pay a visit to the Great Mosque to enjoy the distinct religious culture. The rest time of the day is free for you to explore the nearby Muslim Quarters and shopping malls.

Day 7 Xian - Guilin
Fly to Guilin. Airport-hotel transfer. Reed Flute Cave. (B)
Today the guide and driver will send you to the airport to catch a flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel to check in. After a short interval, you are going to visit the Reed Flute Cave, where you will have a visual feast of bizarre stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 8 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
Li River cruise to Yangshuo, Countryside trip. Yangshuo-Guilin transfer. Elephant Trunk Hill. (B+L)
Li River cruise
After breakfast, the guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to take a relaxing Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. You will appreciate gorgeous scenery with endless mountains and rivers along the way. Lunch will be served onboard, but it may not be to your taste, so we suggest you have a big breakfast at the hotel and prepare some snacks.

We will disembark at Yangshuo to admire the fascinating rural landscape. You will have a chance to visit a local villager's home during the trip. When the Yangshuo tour is over, you will be transferred back to Guilin to view the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is so named for its elephant-like appearance.

Day 9 Guilin - Shanghai
Fly to Shanghai. Airport-hotel transfer. Free time for the rest of the day. (B)
After breakfast, our guide and driver will take you to the airport and help you with the boarding procedures. After landing in Shanghai, you will meet our local guide at the exit and then be escorted to the hotel. For the rest of the day, you will be free to explore the surroundings on your own.

Day 10 Shanghai
Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, A la carte lunch, the Bund, Huangpu River cruise. (B+L)
Shanghai Bund
After breakfast, we will go to Shanghai Museum first. There are twelve exhibition halls displaying 120,000 precious items, such as bronze wares, porcelains, calligraphy works, and paintings. After that, you will be guided to the elegant Yuyuan Garden, which used to be the private garden owned by an official of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). You will then be transferred to a silk shop. At noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served at a popular local restaurant. The lunch costs CNY120.00 per person and is included in our price. 

After lunch, we will visit the Bund. At the western bank of the Huangpu River, the Bund is attractive for housing 52 exotic mansions built during the 19th century. You will also take a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River. Then our guide and driver will send you back to your hotel and say bon voyage.

Day 11 Departure from Shanghai
Hotel-airport transfer is on your own arrangement. A pleasant trip home! (B)
Today your 11-day China small group tour will draw to an end. Due to different flight schedules, we don't provide airport drop-off service. Please find your own way to the airport for your homeward flight. It is suggested that you hail a taxi to the airport. It takes around CNY180 to the Pudong Airport (PVG) and CNY50 to the Hongqiao Airport (SHA). We wish you a nice journey home!
